Being a dad is my favourite thing in the world. I love being a husband, a son a brother an uncle but in this world one person gets to call me dad & every single day I wake up enriched by being just that
I’d happily explain to Alan anytime whether it’s;
Kneecap, Bass, Jodi, Mr Green, Dublin Bus, Fontaines, Elverys, Adecco, first Ireland..
The only thing most fans care about on the kit is the Bohs crest & here is what it’s really about for me anyway: me, dad & my daughter
We’d probably sign him to play him centre half 😂
Derry City FC and James McClean can confirm that they have reached a mutual agreement to terminate James’ contract with the Club with immediate effect.

This agreement brings an end to the recent dispute. Both the Club and James are satisfied with the outcome and are pleased to move forward constructively.
James McClean commented:
“I am pleased that we have reached a resolution to settle these matters. While my return to the Club did not work out as I had hoped, Derry City FC will always hold a special place in my heart. I want to thank the fans for their support, and I wish the squad, the management, staff, and the supporters the very best for the future. In particular, I want to wish the team the best of luck in the FAI Cup Final against Waterford FC.”
Philip O’Doherty, Chairman of Derry City added:
“On behalf of everyone at Derry City, I want to thank James for his dedication to his hometown club. His achievements extend far beyond the Brandywell; amassing 103 senior caps for the Republic of Ireland is a remarkable milestone, and we want to formally acknowledge his immense contribution to Irish football as a whole. We wish him the very best for the future.
“Neither the Club nor James McClean will be making any further comment on this matter.”
NB. Derry City FC wishes to acknowledge the extensive efforts of Joe Jeffers SC and Stuart Gilhooly SC in helping to bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion.”

Two semi finals on tonight in the 1st division of the LOI.
Carlisle Ground - Sold out
The Bowl - less said the better
You have agree with @alancaw nobody is excited about playing Ucd.
We all agree they are producing some good players that said they’d be battered every week
Some crowd at the Bray v Kerry game great to see I don’t know who is on comms yikes I thought the Waterford lads were bad 🫣
A former FG government minister still not understanding how a budget works, kind of explains a lot! Bohs are joint 4th maybe 5th highest budget in the LOI & are currently 2nd in the league.
More jersey sales bigger budget better success you can’t spend what you don’t have Alan
Why are Leeds wearing white shorts considering it’s normally navy & regardless isn’t the clash rule usually jersey & socks
When you don’t get it you don’t get it I guess! when Bohs were fucked & looked done the amount of work Dermot did for the club with lights, wiring etc & is still doing is unreal I’m glad he got to turn them off last night
I’ve forgotten more about football than Alan will ever know so I can safely say we’ve done ok this season on the pitch
Europe confirmed early
Kept the title race as close as it been in years
While raising thousands for numerous charities & being the only club to make a profit
A greater focus on football & less on political sloganeering, Israel hate messaging, cancel culture campaigning & ending the Shinner/Islamist ideological capture might help Bohs do better in the league next season. So much energy wasted on Stop the Game to no one’s benefit other than promoting Kneecap!
It comes down to making the correct decisions starting DJT again 🫣 & then bringing on Myers ahead of Whelan.
Diallo was very poor again as well there’s a bit of a clear out needed & we need to prioritise signing two proper centre forwards
“I don’t think we deserved to win!”
@bfcdublin boss Alan Reynolds reflects on his sides 1-0 defeat to Shelbourne at Dalymount | The @LeagueOfIreland on Off The Ball.
Ahh look I was hoping we could bring it to the last day Tierney going off injured, Devoy in the stands & persistently sticking with DJT & Walter’s & Hickey at CB has been costly at times.
That said securing Europe nice & early was a positive but still some disappointment ❤️🖤
My 3 yr old recently I’d say ok do u want 2 give Nanny & Grandad a hug or kiss goodbye the response “I doesn’t want to” nobody got upset or pushed it but when we got to the door she ran back & hugged them I hope she never loses that because they won’t be here 4 ever. No ad needed
The thing about this add is it is on media platforms that our child wouldn’t be consuming in the 1st place
As a parent it’s my job to teach my child about consent nobody elses she wants to give hugs to every family member & she asks them I tell her I will always want a hug
Replying to @OCallaghanJim
It goes without saying that having loving grandparents in a child’s life is an incredibly positive thing to be cherished and not something to be campaigned against.
Some strange takes out there this is definitely 1, wanting home clubs to reduce guaranteed biweekly home € to increase away allocation for 6 games we then would see tiered pricing to fill the finances. Nobody wants that better facilities is the answer not backwards steps
A simple rule I stick to since I’ve got my licence in 2000 if I’m planning on having a shot/short-half/pint the car stays home & if I’ve to drive the next day I use my common sense & don’t drink the night before..
It’s called “PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY”
The RSA plans to spend €1.5 million on installing breathalyser terminals in hotels, pubs and sports venues across the country, which allow drivers to check their legal limit before getting behind the wheel.

Last Monday every single Bohs fan were feeling exactly the same as the Pats fans are probably feeling now & it’s really a shocker
Seeking help for mental illness is not a weakness I’d like to think that’s not what he meant it’s obvious James is struggling & what worked in the past for him is isolating him more, I just hope that others around him echo this message
You see some1 at your car in the early hours of the morning what you do?
The bravado says run out chase them off
Think!
It’s a car
It’s insured
Theres nothing of value in it anyway
Though your car may move your home doesn’t
Call the Garda & make sure your home is secure
