Saw some badmouthing of BCBS so juicy I almost liked and RT an Alex Berenson post. Alas, there are limits to what I'm willing to do and that's over the line. This is not to diminish the degree to which BCBS of AL is a deeply unworthy insurance entity though. They're cheeks.
This is one of those circles I can't square wrt all the jackasses braying and neighing about birth rates. We already don't value the people we have. Who the fuck wants to have kids knowing they'll invariably be subjected to a merciless, more refined version of this?!
This is such a bleak story about what it's like to try to land a job right now. nytimes.com/interactive/2026…
But even a larger labor pool is less important than ensuring that they'll work for basically nothing, because the whole system is predicated on the necessity to reinvent slavery at every step. The shackles don't need to be made of metal, in fact the best ones are intangible.
Ah fucking phone autocorrects "hominid" to 'homicide"
homicide"
Tired of this fucking dogshit, Samsung.
more than happy to keep my own resources sitting in my own property unused when i am not actively interested in using them, like, you know, owning every other thing worked up until now instead of renting everything forever
sam: local inference is a terrible allocation of scarce resources
“a lot of people want local inference, and somehow they assume that the problem is solved now because we have open-source models, we're going to be able to run them on our computers, and so we're not going to need all the stuff in the data centre
but from a global allocation perspective, actually it's quite terrible to have everybody, like, have a bunch of the world's limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer and being used five percent of the time
you want maximum utilisation in the cloud if you're trying to deal with this very supply-constrained environment
somehow many people's intuition is the opposite of that”
Finally played these two games for myself. The art is crude, the story feels like the developer was just sort of making it up as he went along, the script is an atrocity of bad writing, but I've thought about the original game since I first say a longplay of it 9 years ago and...
yet despite all the flaws (and they are many) I still sort of like the series anyway. I doubt that there will ever be another episode in Brea's Story but somehow I doubt I'll ever fully forget about these games and the peculiar monsters depicted in them.
Increasingly baffled that England is a real country. Granted, this does make sense from the "Appearing to do something while actually solving no real problems" school of political thought, and the British elite are all about that. This is prudish moralizing austerity, in essence.
Alright, drawing a line in the sand on the obnoxious dancing and head-shaking AI cow video. Too obnoxious to let it slide.
Again, I think this is a lot of false hope but if it does come true we'll probably get another great cryin' Donnie soyjak picture when he gets around to dictating the screed that would inevitably follow a Doug Jones victory. It would be a little treat. A nice aperitif of sorts.
DOUG JONES SURGING IN ALABAMA‼️
Jones was trailing Tommy Tuberville by 11 to 12 points. Now a new poll has the governor’s race at 48% to 45%, within the margin of error!
That’s a HUGE shift in the polling, and in deep-red ALABAMA of all places!
Florida Man had better look out! 🔥
