Go see @diggerthemovie on the biggest screen possible! I loved the scale of the imagery, the faces the size of King Kong clamoring in a catastrophe of their own making. Critics decided what film was before the lights went down. Don't listen. Live in Digger's world and absurdity until it turns a mirror on you. If we don’t support films like this, we will be watching movies greenlit by algorithms and stock prices - not big swings that fight for the enduring value of cinema.

Back through the labyrinth last night. Still beautiful, still devastating, still very much against eating those grapes.
@RealGDT supervised every frame of this new @PansLabyrinth20: remastered in 4K, with a new color grade and a 3D conversion painstakingly done by hand over a year. It’s an incredible way to experience a film I already thought was perfect.
If you have the chance, find a big screen and see it with a crowd. Some films make you appreciate being in a theater together. This is one of them.
Pan’s Labyrinth is one of the films that has had the greatest impact on me as a filmmaker. Getting to work with @gdtreal and @Cineverse for @PansLabyrinth20 campaign, and create within that world, brought back everything that inspired me the first time I saw it.
I’ve seen three scenes in 3D, and they were remarkable. Guillermo supervised every frame of the conversion. I can’t recommend seeing it this way enough.

Guillermo del Toro says there was "absolutely no goddamn AI" used in the 'Pan's Labyrinth' 3D re-release.
“What we’re protecting is the beauty and the redeeming power of art. It’s not about who gets the job. We are protecting a lineage of art. If we cut a generation of people from learning their craft, you’re cutting the rest of the history of that medium away from them for what?”
