En Afrique comme ailleurs, la Russie de Vladimir Poutine tente de manipuler les opinions publiques d'Etats souverains pour nuire aux intérêts de la France. Viginum, le service créé en 2021 pour traquer ces ingérences en fait la démonstration implacable dans un rapport publié aujourd'hui. Je demanderai que des sanctions européennes soient prises à l'encontre des responsables de cette opération d'ingérence qui vise notamment le Cameroun et la République du Congo. La Russie cherche désespérément à coloniser les esprits mais elle échouera car nous ne sommes pas dupes.

We have agreed on the 21st sanctions package against Russia. It delivers sweeping measures targeting Moscow’s financial system, its military-industrial complex and energy sector, that keep Russia's war economy running. We are hitting Putin where it hurts most: cutting off the financial lifelines he relies on to sustain his war. This is not the end of the road on sanctions. We are already working on the next steps. The EU must be ready to respond to any further Russian escalation.
