Got your iPhone Duo? Here’s something to put on that bigger screen: a trackpad for your Mac. 👇
Duo Trackpad brings familiar Mac gestures and customizable controls to your iPhone. Perfect alongside a portable keyboard, at a coffee shop or on the go.

Folks with the iPhone Duo - is the 'tent' pose available to put an app into, or is it reserved for video playback and standby mode?
In the simulator, putting it into the tent pose flips the display upside-down for some reason, I'm guessing it's not for apps?
Duo Trackpad has some exciting updates I’d love to get out, but TestFlight on macOS has been waiting for almost a week - the iOS app was approved for testing on Thursday!
Anyway, can't wait for folks to use of this pose - trackpad on the bottom, and a control panel on top!
Preordering an iPhone Duo? Mine will be here in mid November!
Here’s something to put on its bigger screen: a trackpad for your Mac that supports all of the gestures you’re accustomed to, and more.
I use it in coffee shops and while traveling - works great alongside my portable keyboard!
And we have so much more coming!

Duo Trackpad on iOS has been approved for several days now, but on macOS, it’s been “In Review” now for… 3 days… and this is with an expedited review
I’m glad I started the review process 2.5 weeks ago. An app launch wouldn’t be an app launch if there weren’t uncertainty 😬
Anyway, you can always check out the TestFlight!

Calling the ChatGPT Dot, and having to wait for it to ring 4 times before it answers is an interesting experience. Like, what's it doing?
Did you notice that the iPhone Duo is about the same size as a Magic Trackpad?
I did - I’ve wanted to use my iPhone as a mobile Trackpad for ages, but nothing ever felt right. So I built Duo Trackpad.
Supports all of the familiar gestures, and works on any iPhone or iPad!
It’s already a key part of my mobile setup, with my laptop on a stand (safe from my coffee!), a small portable keyboard and my phone as the trackpad
It works great on my iPhone 15 Pro, but I can’t wait to upgrade to the Duo!
TestFlights are open now!

So if I'm reading this right, it appears that GPT-6 Sol at xhigh effort (is that what we call it these days) is roughly on par with GPT-6 Astra at medium effort, but in some cases significantly cheaper - is that how y'all interpret this?

Need to think about the horizontally scrolling sections on the iPhone Duo. They look great on a normal iPhone, but the way they go beneath the side toolbar on the Duo is pretty awkward.
Anyone else have a similar scenario they’ve found a good solution for?

Have some work to do to support the iPhone Duo cleanly, but overall not bad. I think everything I change here should benefit the iPad
Wish the simulator had more than just Settings and Safari to use for inspiration — will be surfing the socials this weekend!
Had an idea yesterday. Built a prototype last night. Used it successfully today. Purchased a domain tonight…
Coming next month… 👀
