on sales being the last corporate role to be replaced by AI
An OpenAI researcher said: inside OpenAI, researchers will be replaced by AI first, infra engineers second, and sales last. Sounds counterintuitive, but it might actually happen. Ideas are cheap. Most research is idea generation + experiments, which AI can mostly do (top researchers excluded). AI infra code is the foundation that researchers use to run experiments. The codebase is huge, out-of-distribution in the training data, and bugs are common. Sales is pure human psychology: human nature, trust, incentives, and emotions. That’s the final boss for AI.

Prediction: The biggest marketing competitors to Coca-Cola + McDonalds will be creator brands. 1. It's harder to build a Mr. Beast audience than is to create a burger 2. There's no moat - so whoever has the best advertising wins 3. They can acquire customers cheaper

Ever hear someone say, "we all go through depression sometime." It's bullshit. We all go through sadness, frustration, anxiety, tooth decay... But we don't all go through the illness depression. Saying we all go through it is stigma feeding BS. #SickNotWeak

Scum alert. The sheriff’s deputy clearly being the aggressor, lying profusely and then whining about his injuries. Despicable!!

I’m hearing a lot about the poppy. Spending a buck on a poppy is good, but if you don’t know what it means, then perhaps it’s a bit hollow. You want to honour the fallen? Learn about one person’s sacrifice. If this resonates with you please retweet. tsn.ca/landsberg-remembrance…

With the #Raptors about to hit the global stage, I’m going to share a story about what makes Toronto, and Canada, so special. It’s about a guy you’re going to be seeing a whole lot of. A Thread. [Hint: It's about racism, sports, and why you'll end up cheering for 🍁]

Canadians took Vimy Ridge and turned the tide of WW1 for the allies. Canadian troops earned a reputation as formidable, effective troops because of the stunning success, but it was a victory at a terrible cost, with more than 10,000 killed & wounded. #Armistice100 #LestWeForget

Internet marketing is about to get a whole lot more complex before it gets drastically simpler. But, both will happen.
