Pourquoi les crimes sexuels commis sur des enfants ne seraient-ils pas poursuivis sans limite de temps ? Le Sénat a rejeté une proposition visant à rendre imprescriptibles certains crimes commis sur des mineurs. Une décision qui relance un débat essentiel : jusqu’où doit aller la justice pour protéger les victimes ?
En parallèle, la question d’une commission d’enquête parlementaire sur l’affaire Epstein a également suscité des interrogations autour des positions des responsables politiques français.
Pendant que les réseaux de traite des êtres humains et les violences sexuelles sur mineurs restent des enjeux majeurs, une question demeure : les moyens mobilisés pour protéger les enfants sont-ils à la hauteur du problème ?
La protection des victimes doit-elle dépasser les clivages politiques ? Et pourquoi ces questions restent-elles si difficiles à traiter ?
Les enfants doivent être protégés. Les victimes doivent être entendues. Et la justice doit pouvoir faire toute la lumière sur les faits.

The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.
Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.

Some of the leaders in Europe—Macron included—want this conflict with Russia to continue.We’ve talked about the military-industrial complex here in the United States that keeps beating the drums of war. Europe has one too. For that complex to keep growing and justifying itself, it needs a boogeyman. Right now, that boogeyman is Russia. As long as they keep repeating “Russia is the threat, Russia is the threat,” they get the budgets, the influence, and the political cover they want. The endless war narrative serves their interests, not the interests of the people paying for it or the soldiers on the ground.This isn’t about defending Europe from an imminent invasion. It’s about sustaining a system that requires a permanent enemy.
