CryptoBilis update
We've been made aware, through responsible disclosure, of a single hardware implant in a Trezor Safe 5 device bought from the reseller CryptoBilis in August 2026.
No CryptoBilis buyer has reported a loss of funds to us.
IMPORTANT: If you bought a Trezor from CryptoBilis from March 2026 onwards, we know this is unsettling. Here’s what to do:
Already using it?
Move your funds to a newly created wallet with a new seed as soon as possible. Do not reuse the old seed in any wallet, hardware or software. If you don’t have another secure hardware wallet available, we recommend temporarily migrating your funds to a software wallet or an exchange you are familiar with.
Not set up yet? Don’t set it up, and never enter your existing wallet backup on it.
We haven’t received the device to confirm this report, but based on the customer’s description, we’re treating it as credible and sharing it now so customers who purchased a Trezor via CryptoBilis can secure their funds as a precaution. Our security team will examine the device as soon as it arrives.
On October 9, 2026, we removed CryptoBilis as a reseller following reports of tampered Ledger devices sold through it. Since then, we have been inspecting Trezor devices that customers bought from CryptoBilis and have found no signs of tampering on any of the four devices we’ve received so far.
NEVER share your wallet backup (recovery phrase) with anyone. Trezor Support will never ask for it.

My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will:
1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate.
2. Open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.
3. Increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.
This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word.
All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one.

Third-Party Analytics Vendor Amplitude Suffers Security Incident, Leaking Contact Info for a Small Subset of Coinbase Users
SlowMist CISO 23pds posted that a data leak involving Coinbase has been confirmed, though it remains unconfirmed whether passwords or funds were compromised. The hacker obtained contact information for more than 70,000 users. Subsequently, Coinbase Support clarified that Coinbase itself did not experience a data breach. The incident originated from a security breach at third-party data analytics vendor Amplitude, which affected several of its clients, including Coinbase, leading to the leak of contact details for a small subset of Coinbase users. Coinbase stated that it found no evidence of unauthorized access to its internal systems, that customer funds remain entirely unaffected, and that it is notifying affected users and relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with legal requirements.

Kraken: Asking How Funds Will Be Used After Leaving the Platform Is Unacceptable; XMR Will Remain Listed
Kraken co-CEO Arjun Sethi said the platform was wrong to send emails to clients who bought and withdrew Monero (XMR) using their own money, asking for information about their employer, source of funds, and intended use of the coins. He said no rule required these inquiries, and someone had flagged a client simply for being young and having substantial funds.
The requests have been withdrawn, and affected clients have been told they do not need to provide anything. Sethi said asking where funds came from is reasonable, but asking how they will be used after leaving the platform is unacceptable. Kraken has removed such questions and will keep XMR listed.
