Hi twitter. I made a dumb thing.
Nuck Fazis and Nunch Pazis.

Tell me how loud your fireworks were last night, without telling me how loud they were.
Simon: [runs to the glass back door] “Dad, pick me up. I need to see!”
Me: “…whatcha looking for buddy?”
Simon: “The cannons! I need to see the cannons!”
You know, a lot of AI art is really impressive, but I haven’t found a single service that can complete the prompt: “a horse with hands instead of hooves.”
Lazy Twitter: anyone using a comic subscription service?
Just caught up on Saga (blew through compendium 1 and volume 10) and I think I would very much like to stay up to date.
Paper copies preferred, but I’ll settle for digital.
My 13 inch iPad has quickly become my “laptop” of choice.
Now, when using my work laptop, I’m constantly trying touch the screen to edit text.
…We’re so damn close to having a touchscreen macOS.

ChatGPT has been out less than two weeks and it has more apparent use cases than the entirety of blockchain.
Gave coding on an iPad Pro M2 + Magic Keyboard a try. Not as good as my desktop, but not bad!
Used VSCode from Github Codespaces, then saved the Codespaces to my Home Screen. Pulled in a few env vars, and was off to the races!
My in-laws:
- bought me a Christmas gift
- told me what it was
- shipped to me, unwrapped.
- will not be around for the holidays, to see me open it
… This feels like a test.
The Twitter debacle has rekindled my desire to build a social network again.
This time, something feels a bit different. I don’t want to build the next Facebook, or Twitter, or whatever.
I just want a place where my friends (and their friends) can hang out, laugh, and talk.
To some extent — that’s possible with standing up a mastodon server.
I’m just not sure if the Twitter-esque format is right for that kind of thing.
For example - I don’t know if a 500 or whatever character limit fosters the right kinds of conversations among friends.
Signed up for this Post thing. Let’s see what comes of it.

One of Simon’s favorite games lately is “Spider-Man and Green Goblin”.
Which is basically just cops and robbers, but it’s clearer who the good guy is.
Grey checkmark: Twitter has verified that you are who you say you are.
Blue checkmark: Twitter has verified your payment information.
A lot of folks have asked about how you'll be able to distinguish between @TwitterBlue subscribers with blue checkmarks and accounts that are verified as official, which is why we’re introducing the “Official" label to select accounts when we launch.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The rollout of the “Official” badge has now ended, and the badge is no longer shown on Twitter profiles. Elon Musk has confirmed that he “just killed it.”
