1,000 wins in a coaching career is special, but doing it across two sports is an even more rare feat, one that Delbarton’s Bruce Shatel achieved on Wednesday with the No. 1 Green Wave’s 11-1 win over No. 15 Mount Olive. Virginia commit Sal Garcia was player of the game, going 3-3 with five RBIs, as Coach Shatel had a celebration waiting for him after he scored the last run!

The world lost an amazing man, husband, father, and friend. Thank you for the past two years of being a role model for our boys and the impact you made on me. Most selfless and genuine human.
Thank you for countless hours put into the run game and being my personal positivity coordinator. You will be missed my fellow OG. We will run the damn ball this week. #RTDB
