My favorite thing about macOS 27 is that Mission Control is way snappier now! Switching desktops feels better, thank you @Apple
We've acquired our own /24 block of IPv4 addresses. Better reputation and deliverability for our customers. improvmx.com/blog/our-own-ip…
Ben has built a beautiful family and touched many lives, but now he's facing a tough fight against stage 4 cancer. Every dollar raised will go directly toward his treatment with Tarlatamab, which could give him more time with his loved ones. I donated because this cause matters deeply—if you're able, please share or contribute to help Ben get the care he needs. Even a small share can make a big difference in writing a hopeful story for him. gofund.me/66eb0b27f
Jesus, @Cloudflare worker webhooks are 100K/day free tier. Pipedream webhooks cost $29/mo for 2K/mo
love it, some european SaaS for dealing with european tax stuff.
doesn't allow recurring credit card bills "for our own protection"
It's so interesting the places entrepreneurship takes you.
It's 4AM and I'm perusing buying IPv4 /24 blocks on auctions.ipv4.global like it's eBay.
Worst linux tool name: supervisorctl
It's so long and I misspell it all the time. Introduces so much friction to everyday ops-ing
Cannot recommend @worldstream highly enough.
Created new account, messaged their chat interface and talked to the guy installing my servers.
Other providers I'm still waiting on a "sales call" next week.
European airline has a technical issue, and shifts blame, says "beyond our company's control".
Struck me oddly, like a surreal moment straight out of Atlas Shrugged. I guess I'm used to American companies that usually accept responsibility.
finally reading @EricJorgenson 's new Elon book. After the Ashley Vance and Isaacson ones, this is the best by far.
Instead of a book about Elon, it's a book from his own words and explaining his philosophy.
Gets me inspired in a way the previous ones couldnt.
I migrated from bitwarden to @1Password. Mainly because bitwarden is super slow, and I want better CLI + AI integration from op.
Migration was PAINFUL, and i'm overall happy, the new experience is faster and more capable.
BUT honestly, bitwarden is a better user experience unless you're a power user.
A few complaints on @1Password :
- you need the chrome extension + desktop app, the extension itself is very handicapped. bw chrome extension is a fully working product
- i like bw's auto generate password shortcut, op needs you to manually open op and copy/paste
- bw auto converts a qr code into 2fa, i haven't managed to get op qr code recognition to work, so i always need to manually paste the seed
- the op initial setup is onerous. you need a password, a secret key phrase, plus a 2fa seed. 2 and 3 are redundant (just pick one) and just introduce more things to worry about/go wrong without improving security
all can be fixed pretty easily to make onepassword clearly the best option
Wow I love the new iPhone call features.
Call screening, I hate how I have to pick up a call because it might be important (like doctor's office), but might be a marketer. Now with screening I can just block people.
Update: switched to @TermiusHQ
It's just more polished, more features, and was painless to setup.
It's interesting because Claude Code steered me away from Termius, because of connection drop issues and not being mobile first. But both were in fact better on Termius.
Termius needs to improve their marketing copy, in particular that mosh is supported!
Spent the last 24h trying to get Claude Code access on my iPhone. Surprisingly difficult.
TLDR settled on @odd_joel 's Moshi
1) Tried the claude official telegram plugin. It was buggy to setup, and prompts were super slow (60+s for something simple, idk it must be on molasses mode or something)
2) Tried the most popular claude telegram github plugin: github.com/RichardAtCT/claud…, it didn't have access to my MCPs
Moshi ended up being the best for me. I just want access to exactly my claude prompt. And moshi is purpose built as an iPhone view into that, with tailscale networking and auto network reconnections. Quite impressed.
@odd_joel some specific feedback:
- the setup was very very confusing. There was this special moshi-hook thing, and tmux, and I wasn't sure what I needed. Termius was just SSH, or mosh, which I understood without needing an explanation. Termius doesn't need anything special running on the target machine. I think you provided too many options on how to connect.
- despite advertising that moshi would stay connected better, I found termius more stable. It kinda just worked, idk why because they're just using mosh-server just like you.
- Termius has a lot more features and is more polished, I feel like I'm fighting it less when just using it on the mobile app.
