A surgeon from Donetsk, Ihor Nazarenko, spent eight years in the torture chambers of the so-called “DPR.” “Two men stopped me near the hospital, put a bag over my head, handcuffed me, and took me to Izolyatsia. There they tortured me with electricity and interrogated me all day.” In his interview with Suspilne, he recalled: “After the torture, they forced me to sign papers. If I refused — they beat me again. The basement had no windows, no heating, no toilet — only mold, insects, and cold. We slept on wooden planks and froze through the winter. Their logic was simple: ‘Whoever isn’t with us is an enemy.’ At the ‘trial,’ I said: ‘What DPR? This is Ukraine.’ The guard pointed a rifle at me, and the others looked at me as if I were insane. But I did not betray. I did not recognize their authority and did not support the so-called ‘referendum.’ In October 2019, the ‘court’ sentenced me to 11 years in a maximum-security colony. On December 28, they sent me to Colony No. 32 in Makiivka. There they called us ‘Germans’ — first ‘ukrops,’ then ‘the German squad.’ In the colony, I treated people. Prisoners suffered from festering wounds and toothaches — there were no doctors. I would dismantle a razor blade, cut open the abscess, and rinse the wound. It hurt, but they survived. Since 2017, we had been waiting for a prisoner exchange every two weeks. Every time brought new hope. When they finally freed me, I cried. Everyone was waiting, but not everyone was released. For me, it was a second birthday. Now I want to return to medicine. I need to study again, but I’m ready. Ukraine needs surgeons. I’m not going anywhere. I’ll stay and work here.” Source: translated and adopted from Tymofiy Mylovanov

They are going to push the narrative HARD to you that Russell Brand has been jailed for being a raunchy lewd shagger. That it’s just a bunch of old harridans making stuff up for attention because he’s right wing now. A reminder that these allegations were made and KNOWN even at the time. It was openly advised on the comedy circuit at least since I was 17/18 to stay away from him.

Thank you, Britain! ❤️🇬🇧 The UK is launching a Ukrainian GCSE, so Ukrainian children who fled the war can now take their own language as a school exam. The schools minister even apologised to the kids who were once told to study Russian. That means a lot. More than 30,000 Ukrainian children have found a home in the UK, and this is exactly what friends do. Thank you.

Como don’t claim to generate the same revenue as Real Madrid.
So it’s ok for Como not to sell out their stadium when they play a mediocre European club, but not City??

It’s actually a special kind of heartwarming to see this, as it was Dad who taught me to play chess.
"History was full of the bones of good men who’d followed bad orders in the hope that they could soften the blow. Oh, yes, there were worse things they could do, but most of them began right where they started following bad orders." — Terry Prachett, Jingo

In the summer of 2023, reconnaissance Defender Volodymyr Ovsiannikov came under Russian fire and suffered severe injuries. He lost an arm, a leg, and an eye, and underwent 48 surgeries. His Mom, Mrs Vira, has stayed by his side, caring for him and supporting him. “She gave birth to me, taught me how to walk, and raised me. And then she had to teach me to walk all over again,” Volodymyr says. Mrs Vira shares that Volodymyr often felt insecure and depressed, and she had to find the words to help him get through this. Russia's war has brought so much grief to Ukrainian moms. 📹️️️️️️: Radio Liberty

⚖️ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 “𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲” 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 1 - 𝘼 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙧 I am in the process of drafting a detailed article laying out why the Independent Commission was always going to refute Man City’s “irrefutable evidence” and deem it a concoction of lies and forged documents… and why the Appeal Board will do so too. It will take some time to put together though. But what might surprise most people is that even if it had succeeded in deceiving the panel members… Man City’s defence would have still failed! 𝙈𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮’𝙨 “𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚” 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙇𝘿 𝙉𝙊𝙏 𝙖𝙗𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙨! Even if they had successfully fooled the Independent Commission members into believing it were true, they would have still been in breach of all the same rules and subject to major sanctions. What’s more, the “irrefutable evidence” would actually guarantee that they must be charged with a further 100+ breaches for the 2018/19-2024/25 seasons too. I explain exactly how this is the case in the thread below… but the implication should get people questioning why they even presented this concocted evidence if it was always doomed to fail. When people try to analyse Man City’s actions they often forget that the people in charge are the rulers of the UAE. Money is not important to them - they do not act commercially - only power and influence matter. They are quite literally above the law at home and believe this should apply to them and their endeavours everywhere else. The most important thing to them is their reputation on the world stage. It’s why they bought Man City and spent so much on it. Their “irrefutable evidence” is nothing more than the desperate death throes of the UAE’s collapsing reputation. They will do anything they can to try and spin the narrative into one where they’ve done nothing wrong and it’s only a biased, racist cartel of clubs, the Premier League Board and Independent Commission members that are conspiring against them. It’s an insult to anyone with rudimentary intelligence and critical thinking skills. I will produce Part 2 of this analysis in the coming days, which will showcase why their “irrefutable evidence” is so obviously fake. This thread will focus solely on showing why it wouldn’t have absolved them of the charges even if it had worked… 🧵
