I'll respond to everyone once I get some sleep. Good night everyone! It was nice talking to you! God bless you and your family!
I don’t get why the piracy debate matters that much tbh. Piracy is morally wrong but is an unfortunate fact of life. No amount of Japanese whining would erase piracy and no amount of western whining would make piracy legitimate.
No empathy at all. Even if a person who advocates for the legalisation of drugs, dies from drugs, I will still refrain myself from posting this.
Before you discredit me, I do not believe the Earth was created 6000 years ago and that everything in genesis 1-15 is literal. I also believe in evolution. However, I believe that Genesis hold important truths that could be important for everyday life.
“the fourteenth-century preacher John Bromyard asked a shepherd if he knew who were the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He replied, “The father and son I know well for I tend their sheep, but I know not that third fellow; there is none of that name in our village.”

The apostles are repeatedly clear: disciples of Jesus are to show honor to those placed in authority—even corrupt or hostile leaders. We are told to pray for rulers (1 Timothy 2:1–2), submit to governing authorities (Titus 3:1), and live peacefully under their rule—not because they are just, but because God has allowed their rule (Romans 13:1–2).
That includes emperors who persecuted believers. Peter writes, “Honor the emperor” (1 Peter 2:17)—a reference to Nero himself, at a time when the Body was entering a wave of brutal persecution. Paul commands believers to pay taxes, respect, and honor to those in government (Romans 13:7). And when Paul was struck for insulting the high priest, he immediately apologized quoting the law: “You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people” (Acts 23:5, citing Exodus 22:28).
We’re not told to agree with every decision or endorse every ruler. We’re told to live differently: holy, peaceful, set apart. Even our Master said, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Matthew 22:21). While the world rages and revolts, we are to “lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity” (1 Timothy 2:2). That’s what holiness looks like in exile—living by Kingdom values under worldly systems. Holiness = set apart.
We are not called to be revolutionaries. The apostolic mission was never about toppling Rome. It was about proclaiming the reign of God—even while in chains, even under wicked rulers, even unto death. Paul wasn’t a nationalist; he was a disciple-maker. He earned respect from the Praetorian Guard (Philippians 1:13), not because he watered down truth, but because he honored authority and held fast to the gospel.
So yes—if political participation is lawful where you live, engage. Vote. Run for office. Represent Kingdom values in public life. But don’t confuse the gospel with government. We’re not here to build a theocratic regime or coerce belief. We are here to call all people to repent, obey, and follow the King of kings—but always with free will and the choice to count the cost, never coercion.
The so-called “Christian Nationalist” movement calling for uprising and violent overthrow has no apostolic support. Quite the opposite—those oft-repeated instructions exist precisely because the revolutionary heart must be tempered. That posture belongs to the world. Let the world fight its own wars. That is not our place. The apostles were martyred—not because they armed themselves, but because they refused to stop proclaiming truth in love.
There is a Kingdom coming, where our Master will reign supreme on the throne of David. He will establish it when the full number of martyrs is complete and the Jewish people beckon their King. For now, we plod on with great and inexpressible joy as disciples—honoring authority and continuing the message entrusted to us: ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand,’ while we await the day when our Master and Rabbi takes His seat as King in Jerusalem.
Blazing past the streetlights,
The towering bridge stands strong
As I see the HarbourFront appear from the horizon,
I see outside
I look at the clear blue sky
And marvel at the sights.
I meet friends from coffee and brunch
Talking about vtubers, anime and good old stuff
But the invisible barrier is clear as day
It will never be the same.
Our daily interactions
Is only captured in brief memories
That we think about when we are older
Reminiscing the good old days.
Getting older
Friends become far
Interactions dwindling
The hustle and bustle of the city continues on and on…
My reflections after a day in hk
I just remembered why I didn’t like Trump the first time around. It’s the chaos he brings to government. For example, he says he doesn’t like wind energy and the main reason for that is because he was denied golf courses in Scotland. Or how he used tariffs to pressure Canada to doing what he asks. Canada now is looking towards the EU. It just breaks all diplomatic rules and makes the US seem like an outright bully (at least it used to be subtle in the past). Honestly, I respect and even approve of some of his policies but his environmental stance, economic policies and the delay of the TikTok ban is not the way to solve issues. The strong man approach to diplomacy does not last as it rules based on fear and rewards rather than mutual respect and cooperation. Honestly, after the past 2 weeks, I just hope that the country America doesn’t implode in the next 20 years.
5 years ago, I wrote these beliefs down as part of a humanities course I had. It is interesting to see how far my opinion has changed or stayed the same. So here’s my reflections:
There is a god. I am still a christian so that is true.
God designed and created the universe. He did probably. Although intelligent design as it is known i am hesitant to endorse, universe as in each atom was probably created by god.
There is a reason for why people in the world suffer. No there are unnecessary evils in the world due to free will, fallen angels and sometimes pure misfortune.
Though, suffering is sometimes good as it builds character.
It is still mostly wrong to kill an unborn baby even in cases of rape and incest. I do feel that I probably would’ve said including rape and incest when I was P6 cuz I was a left leaning person but now I realised that it doesn’t make much sense even in those scenarios. The only scenario where I foresee that abortion is morally okay is in an ectopic pregnancy as the baby is not going to live anyways and hence is medically necessary for murder
Euthanasia is still horrible and I am glad Singapore doesn’t have it.
Death penalty is a tricky one as I do believe that serial killers should be given a chance for salvation but I think if they go out and murder once more, they should be killed. It is wrong to kill a soldier however who is fighting for a just cause. It is a wrong to kill a private investigator who helps track child traffickers down as there is less good in the world.
I would say that there is an afterlife for certain after seeing what the bible says about it.
It is not morally wrong to harm animals as we are given dominion to rule over the world. Although intention does matter. If you just find pleasure in killing animals like the guy who relieve stress by throwing cats off HDBs, then your heart is of a murderous and twisted intent. Mosquitoes should absolutely die as they feed on us, like parasites. Head lice as well…
Anyways, let me know what you think in the comments
Today, I had a funny incident where a female friend and I were volunteering at an autistic children's workshop and I asked for a power bank and she gave me this huge bombastic side eye and said, "Really, you brought an uncharged phone?" That gave me a shock and I realised that in the modern age, an uncharged phone can be seen as being irresponsible and negatively affects your reputation.
I think that the twitter algorithm is really suited for people like me who are interested in debating, current affairs, politics, history… as it is the thunderdome of modern political thought and where debate is truly present. Honestly. that’s what makes this platform so fun.
But there is a clear distinction between the heavens and the earth. That means they are 2 different regions or different spheres. I personally like to think of them at 4 dimensional constructs with one having (0,0,0,0) and one at (0,0,0,1). 3/
Since they are separate yet together and related, the heavens and the earth must each serve a distinct role. We do not know what this role is yet but it is important for God to create it. 4/
Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
I am a christian and I would be posting daily bible verses and my interpretation of them. This marks the first verse of the beginning of the bible and we honestly do not know who god is at this moment. 1/
