Last moments of the wall. At the time it was like going to visit the pyramids. Something that will be there forever.
Seven unpublished (but unpredictably disseminated) pictures.
1. Twilight with Brandenburg Gate.
2. Wall with illuminated kill zone.
3. Aircraft light trail approaching Tegel.
4. You are Leaving the American Sector.

This week, we studied TREE.
Across these photographs, we looked closer at something so familiar that perhaps we sometimes forget how extraordinary it is. Wood is made by life. Every tree is evidence of that quiet miracle.
This was an especially meaningful week as our study extended into my guest curation with the Teia community. My sincere thanks to @TeiaArt for inviting me and giving me the space to explore TREE through the work of its artists.
Thank you to every photographer who joined the study, and to everyone who collected, supported and followed along.

Collected Botanical Garden #2 by @MaxBatsyn for this week’s TREE Sunday Photography Salon.
A tree does not hide what has happened to it.
It grows around injury, disturbance and time, folding its history into the shape of its body.

LIVE NOW ⭑
@exonemo's The Last Acres of the Internet, part of WEBSITES WEBSITES WEBSITES! (WWW!), is live on our platform
⭑ Ends today at 12 PM ET
⭑ Proceeds directly support @rhizome's work as a memory institution for digital art

The work offers the web's least desirable real estate for sale. While short domain names sell for colossal amounts, like land in Manhattan, exonemo trades in the opposite: the duo registers meaningless domain names of 63 characters, the maximum length permitted, and grows an HTML wilderness generated from random strings on each one. Whoever buys a website owns both the domain and its wilderness, free to build there as they wish.
Bidding opens at $24, the sum Dutch colonial director Peter Minuit is said to have paid the Lenape for Manhattan Island in 1626.
In contrast to artists raised within today's platform economy, exonemo reflect on what was lost as the web became centralized, asking who holds its territory and what remains for those arriving next.
