Love to see these win!

I’ve worked for multiple brands that launched in Whole Foods that set earlier than supposed to.
Mod sets date X. Stores get POs and UNFI (example) delivers first case or cases NOT uniformly.
Receiver, stock manager sets shelf early.
Sure- could be a stunt in theory but you’d see broad set of influencers pushing on TikTok and it’s unclear the advantage of a fake out here

If you are wondering why semiconductors peaked in June this is the reason…the market sniffed out that incremental demand was coming from a debt fueled unprofitable speculative sector. Neo clouds.

Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
That’s a new one
There are a lot of hidden Covid consequences our corporate overlords did not consider because they keep insisting Covid is benign & we can successfully coexist with it.
Pour one out for the alcohol industry.

When Sprouts tells you your brand is special, remember they have a bill for jet fuel.

They’re bypassing the middle man and going straight to a doomed powder play
The founders of Poppi just announced their next brand. Allison and Stephen Ellsworth sold Poppi to PepsiCo for $1.95 billion. Now they're back with Jetty - a hydration brand launching November 9. Trademark filings suggest electrolyte drinks, hydration powders and supplement mixes.
Same playbook: bold branding, social-first, community-built. Meanwhile PepsiCo has cut its estimates for the $300M Poppi performance bonus - citing distribution disruption post-acquisition.
The founders are already onto the next one while their last brand struggles inside the corporate machine. That's the CPG founder cycle in one story.

run to high margins, find high competition (most of the time)

yeah low barrier to entry sounds great until you realize it also means low differentiation, leaving you in an LTV-to-CAC war against much bigger bank accounts lol
Zuckerberg is a cretin who put $500M into illegal ballot harvesting in Michigan to swing the 2020 election. He hates theses people. Where’s the $500M for local communities, and public school teachers is not the answer.
Honest question:
With all the new facts coming out, why hate data centers?
What we have seen from meta is:
- they are great for unions
- they are great for blue collar workers
- they put money directly into local communities
- they are giving cities money to pay teachers bonuses
- power costs are coming down in towns that build them
- they don’t use any water
This shouldn’t be partisan at all.
They are cleaner than a factory in your town. They are quieter than a new freeway
It’s a big room full of computers that house all your Netflix movies and tik toks.
But this room also pays for the teachers in your town. And makes your bills cheaper.
Seems like a magic room
This is spot on. Market is up by pure force. Robinhood fractional shares. Trump accounts. Schemes to get every last $ into the market. we should not live like this.
the most interesting founder in CPG is the guy behind Botanic Tonics, formerly incarcerated founded a $300M c-store juggernaut rarely discussed
