Although owned by the Federal Government, the UBEC Smart School in Niger State is a unique institution designed to provide modern, technology-driven education. Equipped with computers, internet access, 24/7 power supply and a digital learning environment, it was established to prepare students for the future.
Unfortunately, years of neglect left the school in a deplorable state, with damaged roofs, obsolete computers and non-functional solar systems.
Recognising its importance, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s administration has stepped in to remodel the school and restore its lost glory.
This intervention complements the construction of over 1,000 classrooms across Niger State, the planned complete reconstruction of 54 schools and the ongoing Bago Mega Schools project.
