Thanks to everyone who shared session IDs. We went through all of them. We found a few smaller things along the way that made some sessions burn through tokens faster than they should have, and we're rolling out fixes to those right now.
We didn't find a single root cause or any regression in Claude Code. In most cases, users who saw faster usage against limits were traced back to one or two heavy sessions (xhigh effort, /goal, Workflows, Agent Teams, long SDK jobs). These are all good ways to use Claude Code, and it's on us to make it clearer when to use them and how much these features cost.
It's good idea to keep an eye on the effort level you're on. Subagents inherit it by default and it can add up fast. /usage also shows where a session's tokens went.
If something still looks off, we'd love your /feedback. We'll also follow up directly with everyone who shared an ID.

Hello Anthropic, you cannot be serious.
Everyone on X is talking about how the usage limits have changed, and I’m experiencing it myself.
You haven’t even bothered to explain what happened.
Just two weeks ago, using Opus almost felt unlimited. Today, it’s a completely different story , 1-3 days and goodbye with both 100,200 subscriptions
feels like every AI company is playing the same game with us
OpenAI offered good usage limits at first. Then, as the user base grew, usage limits became less and less , but at least they say 50% less , but in reality it’s more than 50% cut eFficIenCy
Anthropic? Usage feels like it has been cut in half, with no clear explanation.
Google? The Google AI Pro subscription is practically unusable for serious work. With Argon, both the Gemini app and Antigravity can burn through their weekly usage allowance in less than a day , I haven’t tested the ultra myself yet.
And somehow, we’re still expected to pay $20, $100, $200, or even $500 a month
The real problem isn’t just the limits. It’s that there’s no transparency. We pay for a certain level of access, then suddenly everything changes without explanation
How are we supposed to trust these subscriptions ?

¿Por qué será que las élites gobernantes europeas, ante las protestas, solo hablan de reprimir la violencia, pero no dicen ni una sola palabra en cuanto a atender las reivindicaciones sociales?
la verdad es que no
I speak for the entire WoW community when I say we’d be happy to pay a higher monthly subscription to help support Blizzard.
It’s been $14.99 for 21 years and it’s time we gave something back. I propose $24.99 a month going forward. We all agree this is fair.

The poster does not represent the entire WoW community. Replies to this post and forum discussions show most players oppose a subscription increase. The US price has stayed $14.99 since 2004.
