Check out our newly published work @ScienceAdvances on microglia-neuron interaction in led by talented PhD student @ShunyiZhao_ @MayoGradSchool @CNG_UTHealth. Shunyi used in vivo 2p imaging to show that chemogenetic activation of Gi in microglia reduces neuronal synchronization.
Using in vivo two-photon imaging and chemogenetics, we investigated the role of microglial Gi-GPCR signaling in neuronal circuits. Big shoutout to my mentor @LongJun_Wu and co-authors for all the help! science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…

After 3 years of intense research, hard work, and dedication, I’m incredibly proud to share that I have completed my PhD journey with this amazing project titled: “Effectiveness of Low-Intensity Focused Ultrasound in Improving Drug Delivery to the Chronic Spinal Cord Injury by Disrupting the Blood-Spinal Cord Barrier” in addition to over 60 publications! 🙌
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the exceptional support and mentorship of so many inspiring individuals.
