Manchester is known for grit and determination and today, it is stronger because we came together to overcome challenges, and create new opportunities. Together, we put Manchester on a path for unprecedented growth and laid a strong foundation for our city's future.
As my time as mayor comes to a close, I want to thank our residents for putting their trust in me to lead Manchester forward. Serving as Mayor of my hometown has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I loved the job and making our city a stronger, more welcoming community.
It was a privilege to work alongside an outstanding team of department heads and all of our hard-working city and school district employees who keep our city going each and every day. I will always be grateful for their commitment to our community.
City Hall is closed today for New Year’s Day and will reopen tomorrow, January 2, at 8am. Wishing everyone in our city a happy New Year!
Firefighters are at an increased risk of cancer & I’m grateful that our first-in-the-state early cancer screenings are saving lives. I applaud @DartmouthHealth, @AnthemBCBS & @ManchesterFD for making this possible. We need to expand this program statewide.
