Not to sound cocky, but it feels good to watch Jazz basketball with a deep analytical eye again. A ton of fun to return to my glory days.

Most points the Jazz ever let up in an opener was 46 back when Dale Ellis visited town in 1988.

Ya....Boozer is going to win ROY pretty easily. A 2/15 shooting night and still has 10 rebounds and 5 assists and is a +30 Dude just wins. At every level.

Jazz haven't subbed in-out two players at once yet. 11 subs, all one-for-one Kind of hard to get in a rhythm when your teammates are changing every 90 seconds

This doesn't include the quarter break. Just in-quarter

I think Hardy didn't know what he wanted to do tonight and it is showing. You usually don't come into Game 1 of the season and *plan* to give a player 3min in the first half.

Replying to @McCadeP8
Boy these rotations aren’t great. Then our offense is clunky as hell …..

Jazz make their first double-sub of the night at 6:51 taking out Keyonte and Darryn for Isaiah and Svi

Jazz two leaders in assists right now? Darryn Peterson and Ace Bailey (only with three, but still, it is the young guys sharing the ball)

Jenn and I are the elite Jazz follows for analysis.
My analysis is that the Jazz should score more than the Grizzlies in the second half, follow for more in depth breakdowns.

We all knew the defense would have struggled but this offense has been horrific.

Boozer is 1/7 and yet the Grizzlies have a 133 ORtg with him on and a 70 ORtg with him off

Numbers aren't quite as bad as the scoreboard. It is just possessions, one offensive rebound to eight turnovers. Fix that ratio and the Jazz are playing relatively okay

Grizzlies have three lineups with the same amount of time or more than the Jazz starters. Jazz Starters at 4:37 Grizzlies three lineups with 4:35+? Over 76% of the first half.
