I'll continue working with the Met Police and partners to tackle faith-based hate crime, such as Islamophobia, protect our communities and ensure there is zero tolerance for this kind of prejudice in our city.

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan… 4 men were recorded chanting antisemitic slurs threatening murder and rape. The vehicle was tracked and the occupants arrested. Despite all of the evidence, the case was dropped by the CPS. They targeted Londoners based on their faith. They were not held to account.

This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face. In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales. This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
