This is why it’s impossible to take Lane Kiffin seriously. When he was at Ole Miss, LSU getting night games was unfair. Now that he’s at LSU, NOT getting night games is unfair. A perpetual victim.

I agree with most of the points Brandon makes. However, I think this is a 8-12 type team. I don't think they look like world beaters out of the gate, but they have shown me they don't want to let go of the rope like last year's team. They'll win close games better IMO.
At this point in the season I'm still trusting my big picture evaluations more than a three-game exhibition sample size. Therefore, I'm not going to worry about how Kentucky has looked offensively when they are operating with a limited play sheet. I'm also not going to worry too much about how Zoom Diallo looks while transitioning into a new role/new offense. At the same time, I'm not going to crown Kentucky as an excellent defensive team just because they have looked very good and ahead of schedule on that end of the floor. Everything I said about Kentucky's offense is true about opposing offenses as well. Generally speaking, whatever you thought about the 'Cats prior to the three exhibition games should still largely be true today. I think this is a Top 15-20 team, but likely not a Top 10 team. I think this is a team that can compete for a Top 4 spot in the league, but likely not win it. I think this is a team that can make the second weekend, but likely not the Final Four. Admittedly, I might be a LITTLE more "worried" about Kentucky's floor after the preseason, and my thoughts on the limits of the ceiling haven't changed, but I still think this will be a team that has a lot of success this season...it is just a question of whether they have KENTUCKY-level success or just "normal"-level success.

I wouldn't brag about agreeing with Lane Kiffin, Aaron.
A few days ago, I got crushed for saying ABC/ESPN was afraid to put Alabama-LSU head-to-head with Notre Dame-Miami (Please don't tell me, Georgia-Ole Miss is a bigger game - it isn't) It's an idiotic move by ESPN, and I disagree with it. Apparently, Lane Kiffin agrees with me

Stop it. UK isn't going to get Alston. They aren't goign to pay that price for a freshman PG
A big day tomorrow as a @KentuckyMBB target in the 2027 Class will make his commitment ✍️ The No. 9 prospect in the Class of 2027, @lilskip08, will make his decision tomorrow between Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Tennessee, and Wichita State 🤩 Would be a HUGE get for the Cats‼️

Mason is going to play just as many minutes as Zoom and Alex. We have 3 guys to play 2 spots. Zoom is going to be very good for UK. he's adjusting from a "pound the ball" offense to Popes "pass and move" offense. He'll be fine.
Again, one of the last guys I'm going to worry about in October is Zoom Diallo. I'll also continue to defend him and say he hasn't been nearly as bad as public perception would indicate... With that being said it is looking harder and harder to keep Mason Williams off the floor!

Lane Kiffin has the itchiest coochie in the SEC
NEW: Lane Kiffin on LSU-Alabama getting the 2:30 p.m. CT slot instead of the night game he expected: "If someone thinks the SEC wants us to win this year after what’s been going on, they must have just been on Mars the last four months. So I guess when I look at it that way, I’m not surprised." on3.com/news/lane-kiffin-tak…

Let's keep it real: Kentucky and Tennessee are two sides of the same coin. Neighbors, brothers, sisters, cousins. Our traditions mirror each other. They've got basketball, we've got football. Let's welcome the Wildcat faithful to Knoxville with open arms. 🧡💙

The last 30 seconds of the half UK just kinda quit playing D. Don't like to see that, but It'll be on tape and pope will address it.

UK has passed up more open 3's than I'd like. If you earn a shot, you must take it.

Good to see Reece Potter get some early run....but he's going to have to set his feet before contact on his screens or he will get a lot of offensive fouls called. He's dancing too much while setting screens.

UK team defense is very very good so far this preseason. If that's an indication of what we'll see in season, I'm pretty happy so far.

Alex Wilkins won't get credited in the box score for that quick double team that caused a bad pass/TO....but he deserves it

It's just the first commercial break for UK vs UCF.... offensively you can already see UK has added a lot to what they have done so far. I'm not talking about good or bad execution. I'm only talking about the stuff they are trying. I kinda wish Milan shot the ball as often as Uzi.
