The scandal? It's not only the abuse. It's not just unchaste priests. It's not even bishops who lie or won't take a stand. It's a whole clerical caste that can seem to care more about esteem, comfort, and institutional strength than truth, holiness, and the salvation of souls.
This is really good. I hope this becomes the consensus view.
