It is out. Our new Gaza nutrition report: Aid Reached Them. They Recovered. Child malnutrition cut in half in one year — 16.8% to 8.4%. Severe cases down 69%. When aid reached families, children recovered. The gains are fragile. @medglobalorg @WHO @UNICEF @WFP
Aid Reached Them. They Recovered. One year ago, Gaza was on the brink of famine. Today, new evidence shows that humanitarian aid works. MedGlobal's new report reveals that acute malnutrition among children under five fell by 50%, while severe acute malnutrition declined by 69%. Over the past year, MedGlobal supported more than 21,500 children with treatment for acute malnutrition. But these gains are fragile. Without sustained humanitarian access and funding, this progress could be reversed. Humanitarian aid saves lives. We must ensure it continues. Read the full report: medglobal.org/aid-reached-th…

Humbled to represent @MedGlobal and join the esteemed group of humanitarian leaders to discuss new solutions on supporting humanitarian aid and development in light of the cuts on foreign aid and dismantling of USAID, hilighting the role of philanthropy, interfaith, localization, and the 4Ds in Humanitarian Rest: Define priorities, Deliver and cut in red tape, Devolve power to the populations we serve, and Defend IHL. I highlighted the impact of cuts on the fields in Sudan, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, Lebanon, Colombia, Bangladesh, and Ukraine, and how to use technology and innovation to build resilience and empower local healthcare professionals. We discussed how MedGlobal is meeting the needs of vulnerable global communities amid major transitions in international development and humanitarian aid. Thank you @CFR_org, Irina Faskianos and Samantha Chang for arranging the inspiring discussion among diverse faith leaders in the US during 2026 Religion and Foreign Policy Workshop. Much appreciation to Myal Greene Greene, president and chief executive officer of World Relief; @abbymaxman, president and chief executive officer of Oxfam America, and Dr. Beth Oppenheim, chief executive officer of HIAS, and Sam Vigersky, international affairs fellow at CFR, who moderated the discussion.

This is a cardiologist at Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza mourning his 6 kids, wife, parents, sister, husband + 5 kids killed in airstrikes while he worked last month His whereabouts are unknown since the raid, but we reached him just before Listen on NPR one.npr.org/i/nx-s1-5228095:…
In this video, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, abducted by the Israeli army from Kamal Adwan Hospital, is seen with Dr. Hani Badran, whose entire family was killed by Israeli forces just a month ago. Dr. Hossam, who also lost his son in October, had been supporting Dr. Hani through his tragedy. Since the Israeli raid on the hospital, there has been no information about either of the doctors. They are not only witnessing the murder of their families but are also detained in unknown locations.
