Palmer Luckey warns America cannot compete with Chinaโ€™s population advantage forever through innovation alone: โ€œWe need 1 BILLION Americans minimum. Probably more like 2 or 3 billion.โ€ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ โ€œYes, we need to get our act together. We need to do better at manufacturing, at defense, all these things. But everything is just biting around the margins if weโ€™re 350 million people and theyโ€™re 2 billion people who are roughly the same. How exceptional do we have to be to achieve a 10-to-1 ratio forever, in perpetuity? Itโ€™s not practical. Itโ€™s not logical. I would say itโ€™s even possibly a racist thing to believe that we can be so much better than China and the Chinese people that weโ€™ll just beat them with a tiny fraction of the population. We need to do better with what weโ€™ve got. But we also just need a lot more people. We need 1 billion Americans minimum, probably more like 2 or 3 billion, with better demographics and better natural resources. The Dutch once had the most powerful navy in the world. They didnโ€™t lose that position because they fell behind on factories or shipbuilding. They became economically irrelevant.โ€ Both countries are competing with respect to declining birth rates. Both nations must be more willing to have children and expand the population growth exponentially over the next decade. The current economic path is unsustainable if our labor force begins to shrink even with artificial intelligence on the rise.

Replying to @sigmahamster2
You don't need a PhD in bourgeois economics to see that a system based on infinite growth and extraction is destroying the planet. Einstein was a genius who saw the big picture. Sometimes it takes an outsider to point out that the emperor has no clothes

Every time I visit a college campus, I inevitably meet people convinced that finance contributes nothing to the American economy. I think itโ€™s actually one of Americaโ€™s greatest competitive advantages. This is the screenshot I always show them.
Look, the global economy is quite simple. The World produces worthless Stuff that they cannot consume. They bring it to America, which happily gives them valuable Dollars for their worthless Stuff. The World then smirks to itself, imagining it has hoodwinked those American rubes.

Capitalism already allows workers to own the means of production. They can start businesses, purchase factories, establish cooperatives, and share ownership however they voluntarily agree. What frightens capitalists isn't workers owning property. It's socialists claiming the authority to confiscate someone else's property in the name of workers. If your socialism is voluntary, capitalism already accommodates it. If it's compulsory, spare us the lecture about autonomy.
Belief in socialism isn't a thing. Socialism is when the workers own the means of production. The workers own the store, the factory, the car dealership. It doesn't mean dictatorship It doesn't mean oppression It means the people have power and autonomy That frightens capitalists more than anything

If America had built 1,000 nuclear reactors by 2000 and continued expanding, nuclear power would supply ~90% of our electricity today, even with dramatically higher demand from electrification. We wouldnโ€™t just have cheaper, abundant electricity. Weโ€™d have an entirely different industrial economy. Never forget what they stole from you.
Ralph Nader, 1997: โ€œWhen we came out against nuclear power in the early '70s, the government had predicted that there would be 1,000 nuclear plants by the year 2000 in the United States, and there's 109 and shrinking, as more and more get shut down.โ€ pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontlineโ€ฆ
