I've decided to go into 99% lurk mode on Twitter for now. I'll be primarily posting on bluesky with mastodon as a secondary.

I'm sure no one will use this to turn off all the ads on their channel so viewers can actually enjoy a stream for a change.
Twitch has posted the definitions of what needs to be labeled under the new Content Classification Label for Politics and Sensitive Social Issues.
Read it here: safety.twitch.tv/s/article/C…
#StreamerNews #TOSgg
ALT Streams featuring former or current political officials if the content includes discussions with these individuals around public policies Live coverage or commentary on elections, civic processes, or election-related disputes Livestreams of protests, rallies, or civil unrest related to civil rights issues or government policies Discussing military conflicts, foreign policy decisions, or national security matters Discussing ideological or socio-political views on topics like gender, race, sexuality, or religion Discussing legislation related to a sensitive social issue such as reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ rights, or immigration
It's almost like view counts are meaningless. Wonder where I've heard that before.....
YouTube is reportedly testing a homepage layout without view counts and upload dates
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
YouTube has clarified this is false. This layout only appears when certain extensions are installed.

Shin was an extremely talented, heartfelt, excellent person whom I considered a friend. His passing deeply saddens me, and my thoughts go out to all who knew him.
