“Can I Date a Non-Believer?”
It’s one of the most common questions among young Christians.
They might be kind. They might treat you well. They might even support your faith but supporting your walk with God is different from sharing it.
Here’s a breakdown in football terms ⬇️
Imagine you’ve trained your whole life to win the Champions League. You’ve studied tactics and stayed disciplined all for the mission.
Now picture being paired with a teammate who doesn’t even like football.
You’re waking up early for training. They’re still asleep. You’re watching match footage. They’re scrolling. You’re chasing greatness they’re just chilling on the sidelines.
They’re not bad, they’re just not on the same mission.
That’s what being unequally yoked feels like spiritually.
2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.” Not because God’s against relationships but because He’s for purpose.
In football, chemistry on the pitch matters. You need someone who sees the game like you do, who knows the formation, who wants the same victory.
Dating is the same. You need someone chasing Jesus as hard as you are. Someone who gets the mission. Who Prays with you. Believes with you.
Comment Amen if you agree
