In this short activity, the students bring sodas and juices from different Latinamerican countries and share with each other. Most of them experience having a popular Hispanic drink for the first time.

This week we are celebrating the Week of Respect. Respect means treating others the way we want to be treated. Kindness, inclusion and standing up for others are strong characteristics valued at MRHS. Practice respect everyday because that's what it means to be a Mustang!!!!

What we believe about students affects how we teach them. Set the expectation high and give them the opportunity to rise to it.

Students notice what we do after a mistake.
We can defend it, ignore it, quietly move past it, or say, βI got that wrong. Let me fix it.β
That last response does not make a teacher look less capable. It shows students that being capable includes noticing when something is off, owning it, and making the correction.
We spend a lot of time asking students to learn from mistakes.
Sometimes the strongest model is letting them watch us do the same.
