DAY 5 HIGHLIGHTS — STAMINA FOR THE GIANT LEAP Day 5 brought a strong emphasis on discernment, right connections, right assignments, right instructions, and the stamina to complete them. Because it is possible to receive the right instruction and still lack the endurance to complete it. God is not only giving direction. He is supplying staying power. He is giving grace to continue. And this prayer must also turn outward: Lord, make me the right personality, carrying the right instruction and assignment, to produce greatness in others — especially my children. DAY 6 — A HOPELESS SITUATION IS NOT A HOPELESS GOD There are situations that look completely closed. No way forward. No way backward. No obvious alternative. That was the situation facing Esther and the Jews. The Bible says: “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 KJV The decree had been signed. The date had been set. The law of the Medes and Persians could not simply be changed. Esther had not even been called before the king for thirty days. From the natural standpoint, the situation looked hopeless. BUT GOD WAS ALREADY WORKING. Before Haman’s plot became visible, God had already arranged Esther’s position. Before the crisis fully unfolded, God had already positioned a vessel. Before the enemy completed his plan, Heaven had already made arrangements. That is the God we serve. He is the God of divine arrangements. He can position people before you know you will need them. He can prepare favour before the door appears. He can arrange help before the emergency becomes visible. He can overrule what looks legally, naturally, or humanly impossible. The Bible says: “The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.” — Psalm 103:19 KJV So when you face something that appears hopeless, do not conclude that nothing is happening. DAY 5 — GOD IS IN CONTROL No matter how circumstances look, God has not lost control. No matter how strong the opposition appears, God is still on the throne. No matter how many things seem to be working against you, Heaven is not confused. It rules over all. Men may make plans. Systems may resist. Circumstances may change. People may have their say. But God still has the final word. There are moments when the situation appears settled against you. There are moments when human strength seems insufficient. GOD CAN GIVE YOU STRENGTH FOR A JOURNEY THAT IS BIGGER THAN YOUR NATURAL CAPACITY. Elijah had reached a point of exhaustion. But God strengthened him for what was ahead. There are things we may not yet see clearly. There may be attitudes, habits, assumptions, blind spots, or spiritual conditions that need to be exposed before God can take us further. So we pray: Lord, show me that which I do not see. Remove whatever is blindfolding me to what You want me to see. Do not be afraid of divine correction. When God exposes something, He is not trying to condemn you. He is helping you. He is preparing you. He is removing what could hinder the next level. Worship is not merely a song. It is a spiritual atmosphere. It is a posture of surrender. It is a response to the greatness of God. FORTY DAYS WITH THE LORD CAN CHANGE WHAT FORTY YEARS COULD NOT. Moses did not merely abstain from food. He stayed with the Lord. The Bible says: “And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.” — Exodus 34:28 KJV That is the heart of fasting. Not simply staying away from food. But staying with God. There are instructions you will only receive when you remain long enough in His presence. There are adjustments God wants to make in you. There are things He wants to write upon your heart. There are patterns He wants to break. There are directions He wants to make clear. There are covenant realities He wants to establish more deeply in your life. So during these 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting, do not make food the centre of the fast. Make God the centre. Stay with Him. Stay in the Word. Stay in prayer. Stay sensitive. Stay teachable. DAY 4 — THANKSGIVING FIRST Before asking God for more, remember what He has already done. Before presenting the next request, acknowledge the hand that has carried you this far. The Bible says: “Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.” — Psalm 145:16 KJV Thanksgiving becomes accurate when you recognise the true source of the good in your life. We have not merely achieved. We have gathered from the open hand of God. Every good thing you can point to is evidence of His mercy, His grace, His provision, His preservation, and His faithfulness. That is why Scripture says: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:” — Psalm 103:2 KJV So today, do not rush into requests. THANKSGIVING FIRST. Take time to remember. Write down specific acts of God you have enjoyed. Thank Him for life. Thank Him for preservation. Thank Him for provision. Thank Him for answered prayers. Thank Him for doors He opened. 2027 — FROM ENEMIES INTO BEST FRIENDS! God can turn hostility into favour. He can change the heart of a man. He can reverse opposition. He can cause those who once resisted you to become instruments of peace, support, and divine advancement. 2027 — THE GREAT I AM WILL MEET THE SAME NEEDS IN DIFFERENT WAYS! Do not limit God to the method He used before. The need may be the same. But the answer may come through a completely different channel. The Bible says: “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM…” — Exodus 3:14 KJV He is not merely the God who met yesterday’s need. He is I AM. Present. Sufficient. Unrestricted. Able to manifest Himself according to the demand of the moment. Yesterday, provision may have come through one person. Tomorrow, it may come through an opportunity. Another time, through an idea. Another time, through favour. Another time, through a relationship. Another time, through an instruction you obey. The mistake is to make the previous method your expectation. God is the Source. Methods are only channels. So as we pray and fast concerning 2027, refuse to box God in. Do not say, “This is how He did it last time, so this is how He must do it again.” The Great I AM has many ways of meeting one need. And sometimes, the new method will be greater than the old one. DAY 5 — PRESS DEEPER. We continue on Thursday, 5 November 2026, with Day 5 of our 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting. The first four days have helped us establish the atmosphere. Now we must press deeper. The Bible says: “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” — James 4:8 KJV Day 5 is not the time to lose momentum. It is the time to strengthen your consecration. Deepen your prayer life. Sharpen your sensitivity. Stay attentive to the Word. Remain responsive to the Holy Spirit. DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS — AMAZEMENT! Day 3 carried a strong emphasis on divine exposure, divine fulfilment, supernatural provision, and amazement. There are things God can do that will leave you amazed. There are answers that will exceed what you expected. There are manifestations that will make people glorify God. There are provisions that will come in ways you could not have arranged for yourself. And there are also things God may need to expose. So we pray: Lord, whatever is going on in my life that is negative and I do not know, expose it. Show me what I need to know and connect me with the right people who will speak truth and help me respond correctly. Jesus said: “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” — John 4:34 KJV So our prayer is not merely for miracles. It is also for completion. Grace to finish. Grace to fulfil purpose. Grace to obey. Grace to complete what God has assigned.
