Tokenization needs to be more than just issuance. We need utility for on-chain assets, including marketplaces that actually work: regulated, data-driven, and programmable, and borrowing and lending facilities so we can turn idle collateral into dynamic assets.

Securitize plans to launch onchain trading for real public company stocks in Q1 2026.
These are actual shares, not tokens that track a stock’s price. Owners keep the same rights they would have in traditional markets, including dividends and voting.
Today, most tokenized stock products still trade offchain and rely on intermediaries to update ownership after the fact. The share itself never really moves.
Securitize’s approach puts the share directly on the ledger, so ownership updates as the trade happens.
They also already manage over $4B in tokenized assets, including BlackRock’s BUIDL fund. This buildout extends infrastructure that is already live.
Public shares can now be supported onchain within existing regulatory frameworks, without changing the underlying security.
Trading is no longer constrained by exchange hours or geography.
