The Lions should absolutely be interested in Charvarius Ward.
He’s a solid veteran CB who has shown some consistency.
Only 1 more year on his deal after this one, and could probably be had for a 5th or even less.
It’s not a big splash, but it could end up seeming like one.

First snap, Lions in nickel, two-high shell with Branch back deep with Chuck Clark. Rakestraw on the outside, McCreary in the slot.
I’m not going to lie. I love Sam Laporta, but his recent comments put me off a lot.
I get it he wants to get paid. That’s awesome.
It’s not going to be in Detroit.
I’d expect a similar deal to the Hockenson trade.
Welp… Laporta might be gone
Lions TE Sam LaPorta on extension talks:
“I break my fucking back for this team. And then I’m going out there this year, and I’m ballin’, and maybe they’re just not showing the love… in three months if I don’t get to wear the Honolulu Blue and play for the Lions anymore, it’s going to be all good. I’ll go get paid somewhere else.”
