So much of discourse on here centers Captain Traore. Please read this report by some friends from Nov 2024 to understand the breadth of organizations, unions, and civil bodies across Mali and Niger as well. The people of the AES are ACTORS not subjects. open.substack.com/pub/abasim…

And the Imperialist propaganda campaign commences. With the usual suspects pushing the narrative. Human Rights Watch is an Imperialist entity. Unfortunately for their campaign, the AES has delivered tangible results and has support globally among Africans. These campaigns will only further deligitimize their institutions in the eyes of the African people.
At least 130 civilians were killed by Burkina Faso government forces and allied militia in March near the western town of Solenzo, Human Rights Watch (HRW) says in a new report.

The “if it can even happen to [insert famous person]…” logic if deeply flawed and implies that violence and injustice only matter when they happen to folks with status and influence, i.e., those who don’t deserve to be treated like the rest of us because of their class position.
Mr. Chris Love retweeted
And any Black person who tries to tell you that class doesn’t matter because of antiblack racial oppression is protecting their class position, articulations false class solidarity, or needs more political education. The Black elite/buffer/entertainment class will NOT save us.

Some1 u know has likely experienced interpersonal violence & struggled with whether 2 call the pigs 4 safety or protect the assailant. If we cared about ordinary ppl & what we can do to help them as much as our class enemies & the gossip about them, we'd b far more organized.

American politicians will break a strike for one section of workers then pose as if they support a strike for another.
It's all a con to keep things just the way they are.

Everyday discourse about Megan Markle who DECIDED to marry into a white supremacist genocidal dynasty. This is exactly what Toni Morrison said about racism being a distraction.

I want people to be serious about the fact that so many of our feminist faves died « without heteronormative romantic partnership » because congruence to their politic mattered more than being partnered. So miss me with the Megan just « happened » to fall in love bullshit.
