🗣️ - Hansi Flick: “Lamine Yamal will not be available for tomorrow, it's a shame. He played with the national team in pain. He had issues, played 79 and 73 minutes, and didn't train between matches because of this pain, and that is not taking care of the players.”

Barcelona couldn't get the player they wanted so they had to settle for the best* instead. This week's column is on Raphinha. The rest of the news, below the line.
(*You can argue that one amongst yourselves. And if it's not him, it's Lamine or Pedri).

See, the thing with Barça's squad is that if Raphinha and Lamine are having bad days you don't really have real wingers to sub them. It hasn't been a problem this season because they've generally been great, but today is one of those days.

❗️Gavi: “No, I’ll never be upset about not starting. People say things, they talk about offers from here and there, but lies. I signed a 5-year contract here and I will stick to it, because this is the club of my life. Rotations happen, I'm calm and the coach trusts me” #FCB 🔵🔴

Barcelona have an elite forward line. 💫
Raphinha is the only player to create 50+ chances from open-play in LaLiga this term (57) and has scored 13 goals and provided 7 assists in 26 appearances.
Lamine Yamal has completed at least 23 more take-ons than any other player in LaLiga this season (95) and is the only player to reach double figures for assists (11).
The pair are also the only two players to have created 20+ big chances in LaLiga so far campaign, while Robert Lewandowski has been directly involved in more goals than any other player and is the top goalscorer in the division (21 goals).
No wonder Barcelona are averaging 2.7 goals per game. 😀
