It’s almost November, so please give this a few moments of thought: Olympic athletes that coast across the finish line are at high risk of being passed and losing.
Same in business. Same in committed relationships.
And yet it’s human nature. What I call our factory settings. Like so much else our brain is wired to do that’s non-productive passivity or destructive reactivity, we must catch ourselves coasting and choose otherwise.
It doesn’t mean you can’t relax or rest or enjoy flow states. You can and should.
Just don’t permit yourself to coast when performance is at stake. Don’t indulge in it. And finish 2026 strong. Peace. 🙏🏻
