Soon after @POTUS's EO on Environmental Justice, @SecGranholm submitted a letter to support the Mountain Valley Pipeline. This is hypocrisy! Fossil fuels are at the root of environmental injustice. Michigan stands in solidarity w/Appalachia AGAINST this dirty project.

This may be the best representation of putting all of our eggs in the autonomous + electric vehicle basket. One in five households in Detroit don't have a car - AVs and EVs won't change that. We need more investment in public transportation, with an EMPHASIS on bus and rail.

DTE Energy made $1,100,000,000 in profits. Consumers Energy made $827,000,000 in profits. They can afford to pay you back for groceries, medicine, and outage time, don’t you agree?

Nearly a million have suffered without heat & electricity because two utility companies put their profits above investing in the grid. I’m calling on Consumers Energy and DTE to pay customers back for lost food and medicine and reimburse them for outage time. RT if you agree.

Remaining outages from the ice storm as of late this morning: ➡️ DTE Electric: 173,000 (out of 630,000 who lost power). ➡️ Consumers Energy, 34,454 (out of 276,772).
