Replying to @narendramodi

We wish a happy Thadingyut, Myanmar's festival of lights, to one and all.
Happy Thadingyut Festival to the people of Myanmar!
Known as Myanmar’s Festival of Lights, Thadingyut marks the end of Buddhist Lent (Vassa). Celebrated across the country, the festival sees homes, streets, and pagodas illuminated with candles and colourful lights, symbolising the return of the Lord Buddha from the celestial realm. The festival is also an occasion for families to pay respect to parents, teachers, and elders.

A striking trade figure in the Pakistan’s new paper “Dawn”: Pakistan’s imports recorded from India rose 68.9% to $61.74 million in July–September 2026, while Pakistan recorded no exports to India.
This raises questions. If direct trade is suspended, what route are these goods taking—and how are their country of origin and source being recorded? Could some be reaching Pakistan through third countries? The figures alone do not establish that, but they deserve clarification.
They also point to continuing demand for Indian goods in Pakistan. If that demand is significant, shouldn’t Islamabad consider what it would take to restore normal relations—including credible action on terrorism and the alleged use of Pakistani soil by terrorist groups?
Here, pertinent to mention that at the @ndtv World Summit, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said India wants normal relations with its neighbours, including Pakistan, but not at the cost of terrorism.
Trade data can reveal an economic reality that politics often tries to keep out of view.
Pakistan’s 2025 trade restrictions covered specified Indian-origin goods and third-country transit routes.

Spokesperson of MFA: China strictly abides by the relevant agreements and common understandings reached between the two countries, and conducts normal border patrol and control activities to safeguard its territorial sovereignty and stability in the border areas.
China and India maintain communication through diplomatic and military channels. It is hoped that India will work with China in the same direction by jointly implementing the common understandings reached between the two sides and maintaining peace and tranquility in the border areas with concrete actions.

It is said, #RabindranathTagore had handed over his manuscript of Rakta Karabi (The Red Oleander) to veteran thespian Sisir Bhaduri in the early 1920s. But the play could not be staged. Because, no one could be found for the role of Nandini, the protagonist, an earth angel who represented indomitable human spirit against tyranny, oppression and greed. Until, 1954, that is. Long after the poet's death, when Bohurupee staged the play with Tripti Mitra in the lead role. And history was made. #Today is her birthday. She would have been a centenarian. Tripti as Nandini. (Right) At one of the shows, PC Mahalanobis must have invited #Nehru 👇
