The Mico University College

Strengthening ties in education 📚 Chargé d’Affaires met with Dr. Asburn Pinnock, President of @MicoUniversity College—Jamaica’s oldest teacher training institution—and engaged with faculty and students during a recent campus visit. From thoughtful student questions to discussions on teacher training, curriculum development, and inclusive education, the visit highlighted shared priorities and real opportunities for collaboration. We value institutions that invest in educators and innovation. Through exchanges, professional development, and academic cooperation, the United States remains committed to supporting education as a cornerstone of our engagement with Jamaica. The visit also included a tour of the INAFCA Museum, a proud recipient of the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation, reflecting our shared commitment to preserving cultural heritage while advancing learning. #USJamaica #Education #ExchangePrograms #PublicDiplomacy
