Lets take action to build a more sustainable future
If we told you this video shows someone calling for drastic cuts to #yellowfin tuna in the #IndianOcean, you'd think it was an NGO? Or even government?
Nope.
The people calling for action are retailers. BIG businesses like @Asda pleading for a rebuilding plan.

I cannot wait to see these come in my next shop and to pop them in my recycling bin next to the 100% recyclable blueberry tray (after we've eaten all the yummy fruit first of course) great job @IPL_limited team!
Our new 100% recyclable seedless grape punnets means @Asda customers can now recycle the punnets and film as a whole, without removing the lid. This will allow 80 million lids per year to be recycled along with the tray, diverting 80 tonnes of material from going to waste.

Our new sustainability store has been a huge success so far. Lots of positive feedback. Let’s reduce, reuse & recycle.
We provided snacks, tea, coffee & juice to the wonderful staff working on Ward L49 LGI. My son needed an emergency operation last week. When I found out they didn’t have snacks etc @MiddletonAsda decided to fix that & give them the fuel to keep going with their amazing work!
5 trollies full of donations this week from our generous customers @MiddletonAsda for @LeedsSouthFood thank you to everyone who donated.

A donation of food and some left over Easter eggs were give to Sarah Markillie of St Cross Community Action Group. They have worked tirelessly setting up a Foodbank to help provide for vulnerable families throughout the covid crisis.
I wrote letters to all the residents at Middleton Park Lodge. They are currently unable to have visitors due to the lockdown. I thought it would be nice for them to get some personal post. We also provided cakes to eat whilst reading their letters.
We prepared an order for Christine at Sharp Lane Community Centre. She wanted to provide the provisions for a roast dinner for the elderly residents who are currently shielding. Of course we threw in some warm apple pies for dessert.
Donation of toiletries and treats to the Becklin Centre at St James Hospital. Due to the lockdown many patients have been unable to get basic toiletries.
We donated 250 medical grade masks to Victoria House Care Home in Leeds 10. We didn’t want to leave the residents out so provided them with cakes to enjoy.
Here’s PCSO Phil Biscombe collecting a donation of Easter eggs and craft items from Asda Middleton for the communities of South Leeds.
