Today I had the opportunity to recognize Virginia's own Timbaland during his CreatorVerse/Timbaland Way Weekend and present him with House Joint Resolution 190, honoring his incredible career and contributions to music and culture. CreatorVerse weekend in Virginia Beach brings together music, AI, technology, education, entrepreneurship, and community to inspire the next generation of creators and innovators.

This week, FEMA leadership and the Trump administration signaled that states may soon be expected to handle more disasters with less federal assistance. During our Joint Subcommittee on Recurrent Flooding this week, I asked VDEM whether Virginia is financially and operationally prepared for this possibility. This is exactly why passing Delegate @AlexAskew757 HB 169 was so important this year. Five incredible bands from @Norfolkstate , @_HamptonU ,@VSU_1882 , @ECSU , and @NCCU brought the energy, closing out the show with an unforgettable performance together! Excited to take the gavel as the new Chair of the Virginia Minority Business Commission!
