FWIW or not worth, 5 of the HCs Woody Johnson hired in this window (Herm, Mangini, Rex, Bowles, Saleh) all were hired as HCs by other NFL teams after their Jets tenure
The Jets problem is and has always been ownership. Eight first-time head coaches this century, all of whom have a defensive background. The only offensive-minded non-first-timer was Adam Gase. They’re 178-249 in that span. No one wants to coach here because the org is awful.

Having football broadcasts show the audio of the instant replay booth needs to be mandatory for all NFL and CFB games

Maybe I am insane, but if I had a coach with a track record like Jim Harbaugh and a QB who has been a good player in Justin Herbert, my response to a horrific season would be this: Make zero changes at HC and QB and move on to 2027
Phil Simms feels "pretty strongly" that Justin Herbert won't be with the Chargers next year👀

Justin Herbert has played very poorly this year, but to say “he has never been good” is a shocking opinion.
Justin Herbert has never been good. He's one of a handful of players who have an undeserved reputation for looking the part but not playing the part.

Yes. I struggle to see how MH Jr. maintained the value of a 2 (and a 6) when the biggest questions about him since being drafted have become: 1 - How talented is this guy really? 2 - How much desire does he have to be great?
This is an incredibly pricey trade for a player who has not played anywhere close to his expectations.

I do think the combination of Harrison + the Texans could work in terms of change of scenery, connection with Stroud, Stroud being a better QB to suit Harrison’s talents, but I don’t really understand the price tag here

My initial take is that the Texans overpaying for Marvin Harrison Jr. (if it happens) would be more disappointing than the 0-4 start. I don’t know why you’d continue to go all-in on 2026 for a guy with questions about desire. I’d consider that kind of move for a C/G maybe

COLE Thompson is correct here. The Seattle media owes the City of Houston to get to the bottom of why Joe Mixon did not play a single football game for the Texans in 2025 with zero explanation from anyone into a microphone
Dear #Seahawks media: Ask him about the injury first. Only ask him about the injury until he gives an answer. If the answer isn’t sufficient, ask him again until it is. Because #Texans fans have been trying to find it out for OVER A YEAR NOW.

I thought the entire tenor of the Texans game changed on the Kamari Lassiter penalty on the 4th and goal stop. I think that penalty and the dropped INT vs BUF is arguably the difference between 2-2 and 0-4

I still can’t get over DeMeco’s decision to kick on that 4th and 1 down 10-3 If you’re settling for a FG in a home game like that from the 40, why bother to hold training camp?

Unpopular opinion: there was zero need for the NFL to do this.
Today’s full NFL memo, clarifying that Zxavian Harris and Dae’Quan Wright are barred from visiting, trying out with or being signed by NFL clubs during the 2026 NFL season.

Far from the reason the Texans lost that game, but still wondering about the toss call on 2nd down on the second to last possession

Things I presume most lawyers don’t do: Tell clients they are “in the clear!” Tell clients “the NCAA ALWAYS loses these cases”
I truly feel bad for the 2022 athletes who were probably led to believe by lawyers they were in the clear w/ a TRO, the NCAA always loses these cases, etc. There are going to be a lot of these athletes who start playing, then go back to being ineligible and have to shut it down.

I hate to single one guy out, but this 96 lined up on the left side was on the field for seemingly virtually every play for Michigan on offense last night. What kind of body type is this to be on the field for an allegedly top 25 team?
Again, if the zone reads aren’t live, WTF are we even doing? If they are live, WTF are we doing?
