Whilst Nigel Farage tries to distance himself from Trump and his Iran war, let’s not forget his support for Trump and his Iran war.

Both the Tories and Reform UK urged Britain to support Trump and Netanyahu's war on Iran. Don't forget that.

I think this Gerard Manley Hopkins poem has some of the best sounds I know in English. When I read him aloud, I really feel it, his interesting rhythms, his sonics. He had a special ear. Try reading him aloud if wanted, it's a cool experience to get Hopkins in your head.

To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don't grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead, you relax, and float.
Hitler wanted this painting for himself.
At the end of the war, American soldiers found it hidden inside an Austrian salt mine.
Vermeer treated this one differently. He never sold it.
He kept it his whole life.
When he died broke in 1675, his widow secretly gave it to her mother just to keep it away from creditors.
This is Vermeer’s The Art of Painting, 1666.

Dear God. You watch this and immediately understand how as much as HRC, Biden, and Kamala tried, none of them really had the skills to make the case against Trump.

Not only was Badenoch flaunting her relationship with Vance the day I left, Griffith and Hollinrake were soliciting donations from Elon Musk. Utterly insane. And Cameron is drumming up money for this disgrace of an iteration that bears no resemblance to the party he lead 10 years ago. It is totally unacceptable and they are headed for another rout not recovery. At every electoral opportunity voters say no. Get rid of Badenoch or go down (again).

86 years ago this week, the captain who saved Titanic's survivors died. Yet many have never heard his name.
Captain Arthur Rostron was in command of the Carpathia when the call came in that the Titanic was sinking. She was an ordinary passenger liner, built for a top speed of about 14 knots. He turned her round immediately, before the call was even confirmed.
Then he got to work. He shut off the heating so every bit of steam went to the engines, and pushed that old ship past 17 knots through an ice field in the dark. While she raced on, his crew got blankets, doctors and slings ready.
His was the only ship to reach the survivors, and he took about 705 of them aboard.
For his actions, he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal, and the US Senate inquiry called his preparations "a marvel".
That's the man I'd want in charge when everything goes wrong: he acts at once, and he plans before he arrives. It must have taken a cool head and a ton of courage.
So let's raise a glass to Captain Arthur Rostron, a real hero and a true gentleman. 🥂
