Two Rounds of Rain Ahead! Halloween Weekend & Another Storm Next Week. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1XxygwWPM…
Our next rainmaker moves our way!
This still could produce some light rain late Saturday, mainly south of I-40. Then, heavier showers are still looking likely on our Sunday!

Confidence is increasing that East Tennessee could pick up some meaningful rain this weekend—but cooler weather may take a little longer!
We stay dry through Friday, with a slight rain chance Saturday before chances increase to 50% Sunday. A few showers could linger into Monday.
Moisture streams in Saturday into Sunday, with forecast PWAT values exceeding 200% of normal. PWAT measures the total water vapor in the atmospheric column, so that’s more than twice our typical moisture for this time of year! That deeper moisture supply supports the potential for a soaking rain and locally heavier downpours.
Despite our recent dry stretch, some communities remain above average for October rainfall thanks to earlier rain, while others are below average. It hasn’t been evenly distributed!
Looking into early November, the Climate Prediction Center temperature outlooks favor warmer-than-normal

Confidence is increasing that East Tennessee could finally pick up some decent rain this weekend!
We stay dry through Friday, with only a slight chance Saturday before rain chances increase to 50% Sunday. A few showers could linger into Monday.
The second graphic shows PWAT—the total moisture available in the atmosphere. Moisture streams into our region Saturday into Sunday, with forecast values exceeding 200% of normal. That’s more than twice the typical atmospheric moisture for this time of year, supporting the potential for a soaking rain and locally heavier downpours!
Even after our recent dry stretch, some communities remain above average for October rainfall thanks to earlier rain, while others are below average. Rainfall has been far from evenly distributed!
For Halloween plans, the rain chance remains low for now, but I’m watching late Saturday into Saturday night as moisture increases. Sunday currently looks like our better opportunity for rain.

Jackets this morning, short sleeves this afternoon!
East Tennessee is starting this Tuesday with a fall chill, with temperatures in the upper 30s and 40s across much of the region. But a nice warm-up is on the way!
Afternoon highs climb into the low to upper 70s from the Plateau to Knoxville, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities. That’s a temperature swing of around 30 degrees or more in many communities!
Dress in layers, my friends, and enjoy the comfortable afternoon!

So you're saying there's a chance.....??
I am!
Now, there is still a chance for some light rain late in the day on Saturday for some Trick or Treaters, but the majority of it comes through late Saturday into Sunday evening.
Sunday is still looking like the wetter day... which we need the rain!

It's a beautiful week this week with temperatures trending nearly 10° above average come Friday!
However, as we get into the weekend, I'll be watching a couple of disturbances that will bring us some rain, at least that's the way it's looking. For now, Halloween stays mostly dry, but Sunday could bring some much needed rainfall.
Check back in this week to see how things evolve.

However, one model is showing light rain possible late Saturday night.
Of cours that is Halloween, so I'll be watching this week.

Cool mornings, warm afternoons and a mostly dry week ahead across East Tennessee!
Knoxville and the Central Valley climb from the low 70s into the upper 70s by Friday and Halloween. Chattanooga and the Southern Valley follow a similar trend, with slightly milder nights.
Crossville and the Northern Plateau stay a little cooler, with afternoon highs in the low to mid-70s. The Tri-Cities start with crisp mornings near 40°, but afternoon temperatures reach the upper 70s later this week!
Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds, with more cloud cover around Wednesday. Keep the morning jackets handy—you’ll likely shed them by the afternoon!
For Halloween, I’m watching a chance for light rain late in the day. Confidence remains low, so I’m keeping the forecast dry for now. Check back as we fine-tune those trick-or-treat plans!

Without leaves, structural problems are easier to identify. Dead branches, weak or damaged limbs, cracks, and hazardous trees can become especially dangerous when exposed to strong winds, heavy rain, ice, and winter storms common to East Tennessee.
Yesterday was great, today's great, tomorrow is the same and all next week will be fantastic!
But, I'm still watching Halloween!

High pressure is the name of the game! Morning temps start off in the 30s and 40s. But, our highs will be back into the 70s with a light afternoon wind.
This is what October is all about!

HERE’S WHAT EVERY HOMEOWNER NEEDS TO KNOW:
@ruralmetrofiretn
If you are an active Rural Metro Fire member, you do not pay additional fees for Rural Metro
fire suppression or emergency response covered by your membership.
If you are NOT a member and Rural Metro Fire responds to your property, you can receive a
bill for the emergency response.
In Tennessee, Rural Metro’s current published rate is a minimum of $1,800 per hour, per
firefighting vehicle. A typical structure-fire response involves a minimum of six units, which
represents an estimated minimum hourly charge of $10,800. Actual charges can vary based on
the response and services provided.
That membership isn’t just a bill. It’s your protection.
