🚨 EQUITYEDGE 2-STEP TRADERS, THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU!
Before you lose that account you struggled to pass, take a few minutes to read this.
Some traders don’t lose their accounts because they can’t trade. They lose them because they don’t fully understand the rules governing the account they paid for.
One misunderstanding. One careless decision. One avoidable breach. And all that effort could go down the drain.
I’m breaking down the EquityEdge 2-Step rules, explaining what they mean in practice, and highlighting the mistakes you need to avoid.
If you’re trading EquityEdge, YOU NEED TO READ THIS BEFORE YOUR NEXT TRADE. 🧵👇
Before you buy, understand the rules. After you buy, I’m here to help you understand the process.
Don’t just buy because of the discount. Buy with a plan.

10. THIRD PARTY 🚨
THIS IS ALSO IMPORTANT!
EquityEdge strictly prohibits third party involvement in account purchases and payments.
❌ Don’t buy accounts using POS, business names, or corporate accounts, even if they belong to you.
❌ Don’t ask a friend to pay for your account, even if the money comes from a giveaway. There is a difference between winning an account through an X giveaway and someone buying accounts for other people.
✅ Always use your own account and the same registered details you provided when signing up.
❌ Don’t request payouts using another person’s USDT wallet. Third party payout details can lead to rejection.
The rule is simple: use your own payment methods and your own registered details. Third party involvement is prohibited.
Don’t risk your account or payout over something you could easily avoid! 🧵
9. IP ADDRESS 🚨
THIS IS CRITICAL!
Never share your MT5 or web login details with another trader to help you log in, verify your account, or trade for you.
⚠️ Devices can retain login and IP history. If another EquityEdge trader logs into their account on a device already associated with your account, it could trigger an IP rule violation and put both accounts at risk.
Here is what to understand:
✅ You can access your own account on multiple personal devices, subject to EquityEdge’s rules.
❌ Avoid logging into multiple traders’ EquityEdge accounts on the same device.
❌ Don’t assume a VPN will protect you from detection. It does not erase your device or account login history.
Protect your login details. Your account is your responsibility, so don’t put your funding at risk by sharing access! 🧵
8. MARTINGALE 🚨
Martingale is when you increase your lot size after each loss in an attempt to recover previous losses. This is a risky trading approach and can lead to serious drawdown.
It can also involve opening more positions as your losses increase.
Example: You buy Gold, and as the trade goes into floating loss, you keep opening more buy positions, hoping the market will reverse and help you recover everything.
⚠️ Stop adding positions just to recover losses. Trade with a clear plan, proper risk management, and discipline. Don’t let the desperation to recover wipe out your account! 🧵
7. GAMBLING 🚨
Gambling is when you treat the challenge like a quick bet instead of trading with a proper strategy and risk management.
Examples include risking almost your entire daily drawdown just to pass quickly or entering high impact news movements without proper analysis.
For example, buying XAGUSD during NFP, holding for 3 minutes, closing in profit, and repeatedly relying on such high risk trades to pass your account.
⚠️ Passing quickly means nothing if your trading behaviour violates the firm’s rules.
Trade with a plan, manage your risk, and stop treating your challenge like a lottery! 🧵
6. COPY TRADING 🚨
Copy trading means replicating trades from another trader or copying the same trades across multiple accounts.
⚠️ Here’s what you need to know:
✅ You are allowed to copy trades across a maximum of 2 evaluation accounts.
❌ You cannot copy trades across your funded accounts or copy the same trades between evaluation and funded accounts.
For example, if you have 3 evaluation accounts, you can copy the same buy or sell trade on only 2 of them. Avoid taking that same trade on your funded account.
Keep your evaluation and funded accounts separate. Don’t risk your funding by ignoring the copy trading rules! 🧵
5. HEDGING 🚨
Hedging means buying and selling the same asset at the same time to take opposite positions.
For example, buying GBPUSD in one account while selling GBPUSD in another account.
⚠️ THIS IS PROHIBITED!
You cannot buy GBPUSD in your $50K account and sell GBPUSD in your $100K account.
You also cannot buy and sell GBPUSD within the same account or across both accounts to pass a phase.
Don’t try to beat the challenge by taking opposite positions across accounts. Understand the rules and trade within them! 🧵
4. ONE SIDED BETTING 🚨
Repeatedly entering the same direction within seconds or a few minutes after consecutive losses, without proper analysis, can be flagged as one sided betting.
Example: You sell Gold, hit SL, immediately sell again and hit another SL, then enter a third sell within minutes, hoping to get lucky. ⚠️
However, if you take a sell, hit SL or TP, then wait 10 minutes or more before taking another trade based on fresh analysis, it will not be flagged.
The key is to trade based on analysis, not desperation or the hope of recovering losses.
Stop chasing the market. Have a reason for every entry, and understand the rules before you trade. 🧵
3. SPAMMING 🚨
Many traders, especially those who flip accounts, make this mistake.
Opening multiple positions within seconds to build one large trade is prohibited.
For example, instead of opening one position of 0.1 lot, you open ten positions of 0.01 lot within seconds.
⚠️ This can lead to your funded account or payout being denied, even if it does not result in an account breach.
The smarter approach? Use your intended lot size and manage your risk properly instead of splitting one trade into multiple rapid entries.
Don’t let spamming cost you your funding or payout! 🧵
2. NEWS RULE 🚨
The EquityEdge 2 Step News Rule applies to both Legacy and Swift accounts.
You must not open or close trades 2 minutes before or 2 minutes after a restricted news release. This includes executing pending orders. Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Breakeven executions during the restricted window can also lead to a breach.
⚠️ BE CAREFUL WITH SPEECHES!
This is where a few traders get it wrong
Some speeches last 30 minutes to an hour or longer. The restriction covers the actual speech duration, not just the scheduled event time.
Example: If an FOMC speech starts at 7:12 PM and ends at 8:00 PM, do not open or close trades from 7:10 PM. Wait until after 8:02 PM.
One careless trade during news can cost you your account. Know the rules and protect your progress! 🧵
1. GENERAL RULES 🚨
Before you start trading an EquityEdge 2 Step account, you need to understand that there are two account types: Legacy and Swift.
They have different drawdown limits, profit targets, and leverage. Know which one you’re trading so you don’t make costly mistakes.
🟢 LEGACY 2 STEP
• Overall Drawdown: 10%
• Daily Drawdown: 5%
• Phase 1 Profit Target: 10%
• Phase 2 Profit Target: 5%
• Leverage: 1:50
🟢 SWIFT 2 STEP
• Overall Drawdown: 8%
• Daily Drawdown: 4%
• Phase 1 Profit Target: 8%
• Phase 2 Profit Target: 5%
• Leverage: 1:30
Understand your account limits before placing a trade. Your profit target tells you what you need to achieve, but your drawdown limits determine how much room you have to make mistakes.
Don’t confuse the rules of one account type with the other. Know your account. Protect your capital. Trade responsibly. 🧵
