Jonathan Aranda BP is fascinating to watch. All feels, really light swings and very quiet with his lower half.
Of course, he still flicked some pull side well over the right field wall, but focus seemed to be on driving it where it’s pitched and working the whole field.
Hard work is paying off!!

#MLB Stick Finish Home Runs from the First 3 Weeks of the Season
The stick finish is a compression move/feel that efficiently revels the trunk to transfer force into the baseball. Much like Bruce Lee’s one-inch punch of creating and transferring force into a short window, some guys including Mookie will actively think swinging softer and will even to stop swings in the cage
We often see bat speeds go👇 and EV’s go 👆 when teaching a player this move, typically top hand dominant guys you’ll see it show up more, and players that hammer offspeed 🔨

Getting the foot down early to swing is not the goal. Swinging the hips open to create separation is not the goal. Maintaining hip coil is not it.
Use the pelvis for TIMING. The goal is, at swing decision, to have the pelvis ready to move both sides.

No college coach anywhere recruits a player based on how good the parents think they are.
The player’s ability has to sell itself
Amen!!!
The “boring” stuff wins ballgames:
-Backing up the play
-Putting the ball in play
-Moving the runner
-Making the routine plays
-Consistent communication
-Throwing strikes
-Smart baserunning
-Taking your walks
-Getting HBP, holding your ground
-Hitting a cutoff man
-Hustling out everything
*At some point, the “boring” tasks of ⚾️ will win extra games! And more often than not, playoff berths, seedings, playoff wins, and even championships can be determined and decided by what many would call “boring.”
Turn the “boring” into the “important” and that’s how you win!

Man said I didn’t forget how to coach, this team just sucks 😂
In all seriousness, I respect it … guys are getting PAID PAID now at the college level …
… you want to get big boy $$$, you better be ready for big boy criticism when you play like shit 🤷♂️

There's a reason Georgia Tech is one of the best teams in college baseball. They aren't just looking for tools. They are looking for winning athletes and people who want to continue developing once they get to campus.
Big thanks to Georgia Tech Assistant Coach Josh Schulman for talking to Campus Edge about their process, especially how they value high school recruiting. @GeorgiaTech @GTBaseball @jtschulman19
