Well, at least this guy isn't hiding his intentions (most of the time), unlike other politicians like Abdulla Shahid and Faisal. He’s been very clear about where he stands. He backed ultra-populists like Muizzu to kick out Ibu's administration. Now he has Fayya in a deadlock.
The most impressive part is how he outplayed the Salafists into backing Muizzu while making them make deals with Israel's current biggest ally in the Middle East.
Well played, dude. Well played.
So tell me, sir, are you really a Freemason?

Wishing you all the best @haifa_aishath in the MDP Gaumee Majlis primaries. 🙏
As a young leader stepping forward, I’d really appreciate hearing a clear and direct position from you on the Eagle Hills Ras Malé project, both for MDP members and the wider public.
Issues of this scale may shape the country for generations. Young leaders especially hv an opportunity to show that public trust begins with clarity, courage and saying where you stand.
Young people deserve more than a seat at the table. We deserve a voice in the decisions that shape our party & our country.
I am contesting for a position as a member of the MDP Youth Wing Gaumee Majlis to represent our generation & work towards a stronger, more united party.
We must speak up, hold the government accountable, & work towards bringing MDP back to government in 2028.
I humbly ask for your support & your vote as we work towards a better future for our party & the Maldives.

First of all according to the model that Evalueserve used, it used port city Colombo as a comparative model. While port city had 100% foreign ownership, and multi-currency transaction laws the Rasmale agreement is still question. Its not all about money and infrastructure. Glad we didn’t have you back around in 1960’s, uttering some crap like saying staying under British will transform us into a city like london or something.

Perhaps the UAE's candidate for UN Secretary-General Lana Nusseibeh "could begin by explaining why her own government has been repeatedly implicated in helping fuel the genocidal catastrophe in Sudan."

The Attorney General wasn’t wrong.
Genocide is inherently a form of mass killing; and while it can be distinguished from other types of mass killing based on intent, traditionally the umbrella term, ‘Qathulu Aammu’ was used in Dhivehi communications to capture genocide. This mirrors our own QA’s usage of ‘Aniyaa’ to encapsulate torture without distinguishing it from lesser forms of ‘aniyaa’ that don’t meet the legal threshold of torture.
If the proposed statutory text explicitly builds in the criteria of intent from the 1948 Convention, using the familiar term, ‘Qathulu Aammu’ is valid and it is more publicly accessible.
A more productive conversation would perhaps be for the former Chief Justice to suggest an alternative.

Muizzu has totally compromised everything that we hold dear: Our sovereignty and religious unity.
Not only this, he’s also compromising tourism, the industry on which our economy at present is totally dependent on.
These are the fundamentals on which our survival as a nation-state revolve around. Jeopardising these things mean risking our very existence as a nation-state.
He has almost destroyed MACL. And he is after destroying BML. The shareholders’ equity of BML currently stand at MVR 17.36 billion.
Just imagine what will happen to our economy if BML goes bankrupt. Can we afford such things? If depositors lose trust in the bank, it could trigger a “run on the bank” situation.
Maldives became the world’s premier tourism destination not by a “Residency by Visa” regime, or even with “township” developments under a nonsensical “SEZ law”.
Maldivians are totally against the sale of our precious lands to foreigners, be they Arabs or others, esp. Muslim Zionists like Alabbar.
Muizzu wants to remain in power even at the expense of destroying the tourism industry. He is holding on to power with the utility of the following means:
1. Intimidation
2. Bribery
3. Blackmail
The man is totally consumed by avarice and ego.
Without a doubt he’s a narcissist, a psychopath and an egomaniac.
The greenback is now trading at 23.50. What more failure do you need to impeach and remove Muizzu from power? Does anyone have any excuse at all?

The damage MDP Nasheed has done to this country is so immense
that an unpopular authoritarian like Muizzu and his supporters are using Nasheed's ideology of subjugation as their doctrine.
PNC and MDP are essentially the same inside. rotten to the core.
i know this plays well to your political dialogue but it’s simply not true. you can’t rewrite history.
maldives has been a mix of races, pre islamic maldives had people of many beliefs. even after the conversion maldives welcomed people of different backgrounds and countries. our rich culture and even the
language is a result of this.
to quote one of @anedhivehirajje’s latest articles, as of 1880, 70% of Male’s population was foreigners who settled here. Which included Arabs, Africans, Chinese and even Europeans.
Meet Dhaandhoo MP Mohamed Fazeel.
Honestly, this is the hardest one to call. We honestly can't tell if he's actually STUPID, acting stupid, a #Traitor, or just LYING.
When @AdhadhuMV asked him about Rasmalé, he said:
- "The deal is 'between two individuals' so the public doesn't need to know what's in it."
Is this migga fr m8? Between two individuals?? 🤡 Dhivehi Qawmakee farudhehtha??

Dear Maldivians,
As per the new amendments (suggested not yet passed) to the penal code, one could argue that many of our schools’ Islam textbooks must be re-written.
I graduated school here not too many years ago, and I distinctly remember
“Yahoodheenge sifathakakee Koba?”
Makaru verikan, aniyaaverikan? Don’t know the rest.
Point is our own textbooks may now fall under literature that may be offensive towards certain religions.
I remember being taught in school that the yahoodheen and kaafirun are terrible people.
They say when a Shaytan tells one truth, he backs it up with 99 lies. That's this guy right here. 👇
The opposition’s campaign of lies and distortions about the RasMale project has become pure comedy. At this point nobody really care what they have to say.
The government has already addressed every fear mongering claim with clear facts.
But they continue to prioritise selfish political interest over national interest.
It is a shame that people who enjoy every benefit this country provides would work so actively against its progress.
