I will continue to share Della's story and raise awareness of @DellasLaw because this is an issue that cannot be allowed to fade into the background.
Changing a name should never make it easier to conceal a history of sexual offending.
A new name does not create a new past, and safeguarding must never lose sight of the person behind that name.
Della Wright has spent years turning what happened to her into a fight to protect others.
There has been some progress..
The Crime and Policing Act 2026 is now law and contains new safeguards around registered sex offenders changing their names, including advance notification requirements and new police powers relating to identity documents.
However, key provisions are not yet in force and the changes do not amount to a blanket ban on registered sex offenders changing their names.
So the campaign continues.
Della fought to make this issue impossible to ignore, so the least we can do is keep people talking about it.

The usual Care4Calais event at the Salvation Army for Wethersfield migrants is NOT taking place today!
So far, only ONE bus has arrived in Braintree, which is welcome news for local residents who have been raising concerns about these weekly gatherings.
Operation Vanguard and Essex Police have also been spotted out on patrol around the town.
It's good to see a quieter Thursday in Braintree for a change!

This is genuinely some of the most disturbing footage I have ever seen of domestic abuse. What I've shared is only a portion of the full video.
A new mother has shared doorbell footage which she says was recorded on the very day she returned home from hospital after giving birth to her son.
After enduring childbirth, exhausted, physically vulnerable and carrying her newborn baby, she should have been returning to a home filled with love, care and support.
Instead, she says she was met with a deeply distressing confrontation involving her partner, DYLAN MAWSON, turning what should have been one of the happiest days of her life into the day her relationship ended.
Sharing the footage, she wrote:
"Whatever you do never have a child with a narcissist because this was the day I came back from the hospital after giving birth to my son."
Thankfully, this mother is now safe.

Yet another appeal. These reports are coming in every single day, sometimes multiple in one day. It's absolutely sickening and deeply concerning!
British Transport Police have released an image of a man they want to identify following the sexual assault of a woman on a train travelling between Birmingham and Derby on 21st September.
The man reportedly made repeated, unwanted comments about the woman's appearance before sexually assaulting her. He then left the train at Derby.
Police are appealing for help to identify the man pictured.
If you recognise him or have any information, text 61016, quoting reference 76 of 22 September.
Women should be able to travel on public transport without fear of harassment or sexual assault! 😡

🚨 CONVICTED CHILD SEX OFFENDER BACK ON TIKTOK UNDER ANOTHER ALIAS
Benjamin Stone, from Exeter, was jailed for eight years in 2020 after repeatedly sexually abusing a girl aged just SIX.
He also threatened her with violence if she spoke out.
Stone was convicted of six offences involving the child, including sexual assault and causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
After his early release, he resurfaced on social media. Last year, we exposed multiple accounts he had allegedly created using different aliases, including his middle name, John.
Now, he appears to be active on TikTok under the username ryan.rudge8, regularly broadcasting live to followers.
Since his release, Stone has reportedly moved from Exeter to Bristol and now Chepstow.

Today, my thoughts are with Rhiannon Whyte’s mum and everyone who loved her.
On 20 October 2024, Rhiannon was brutally attacked as she made her way home from work. She was just 27 years old. Three days later, she lost her life.
Think about that for a moment. A young woman going about her everyday life, finishing work and making her way home, never knowing she would never make it home to the people who loved her.
Behind every headline is a family left to live with unimaginable pain. A mum who has to face every day without her daughter. Birthdays, Christmases and all the little moments that should have been shared, but never will be.
Rhiannon was someone’s daughter, someone’s mum someone’s friend and a young woman with her whole life ahead of her.
No words can undo what happened, and no mother should ever have to endure the pain of losing her child in such horrific circumstances.
Today, I want Rhiannon’s name to be remembered, and I want her mum to know that she and her beautiful daughter are in all of our thoughts.
Rhiannon will never be just another headline. She will never be forgotten. ❤️ @siobhan1437154

U.K. Women - enough is enough. Deliveroo and apps similar to it have become increasingly unsafe and despite REPEATED incidents involving their delivery drivers they have not taken steps to more stringently screen their employees.
It’s time to stop trusting them to put your safety above their profits, and it’s time to STOP USING THEM altogether.
If you know women who are not on social media and may be unaware of the many assaults and attempted assaults by Deliveroo drivers please share this with them.

Thames Valley Police want to speak to this man after a woman in her 40's was targeted on Gallys Road, Windsor, at around 9pm on Friday 21st August.
She noticed him walking close behind her. When she sped up, he did too. He asked for directions, then grabbed her wrist and forced her hand towards his groin area.
