The Bromley E10 CLASS 0-4-4T
An unusual rear view of Bromley E10 Class 0-4-4T locomotive No. 51 at Witham in the 1890s. This engine was built at Stratford in September 1879 and rebuilt in June 1892 with a new 140 lbs/sq in boiler, cast-steel wheels, and rear cab weatherboards. It is in this condition that it is seen here. The high rear bunker panel, compared with the sides, was fitted to protect the crew when running bunker-first before rear cab weatherboards were fitted, and this was a feature of other GER tank engines of the period. At the date of the photograph, the engine had not yet been fitted with coal rails, which, when fitted, must have increased the bunker capacity by at least fifty per cent! Note the bucket hanging from one of the two hooks on the inside of the bunker rear panel, which were provided to store the fire-irons.
Anyone find any 2026 sets in the Phillipines? My mother is heading there rather soon

I had a dream that the first 2 episodes of Railway Stories leaked, and it was very interesting. The pilot was a Rex, Mike and Bert story of all things, where Mike got humbled. The second episode was a Thomas and Edward story where Edward took Thomas to get his boiler replaced-
