#ReconAfrica recently announced that preliminary data from Well 6-2 provides 'Clear evidence of a working conventional petroleum system'.The 🇩🇰 company has now relocated their massive drill rigs to Well 6-1(16kms North of Well6-2) where more intensive drilling will take place.

Pilane landfill site has continued to burn for 5days straight with a toxic smoke massive enough to be seen from #Space🌍.Kgatleng district council has issued a statement announcing temporary closure of landfill, still no Public health advisory for local residents. @BWGovernment

Giant smoke bellowing from Pilane landfill yesterday. It was big enough to be seen from #space🌍 by @planetlabs #dove 🕊#satellites orbiting 400km above Earth. It's worth noting the landfills close proximity to Tshele fuel storage site which poses a serious hazard @BWGovernment

The signing the One Stop Border Post (OSBP) Bilateral Agreement between Botswana and Zambia is a culmination of years of planning and implementation of the Bridge Infrastructure at Kazungula.  The signing of the Bilateral Agreement will facilitate the operation of the OSBP.

Cause of fire unknown. There has been previous reports of fire outbreaks from the Landfill site in 2018 and 2019, posing serious health risks to nearby residents of Bokaa, Pilane and Rasesa. The Landfill site which was commissioned in 1995 has surpassed its life span by years. – at Botswana
