Inflow on Base is skyrocketing: Activity has hit all-time highs recently, driven by Virtuals and key AI projects. Nearly all of crypto’s attention is on you. 2. Market sentiment is about to flip: There’s an 80-90% chance we see euphoria and a real altcoin season starting mid-to-late January. 3. I know you’ve been cautious of regulation, but regulation will ease with this new administration and the upside in growing Base chain this cycle seems far greater than the fear of more regulatory concerns. 4. Coinbase’s goal is to “onboard billions.” The best way to achieve that is by making popular coins easily accessible on the platform. Delaying listings for Base projects risks losing users to other exchanges that are quicker to support these coins. Don’t let competitors take the lead on your own chain’s ecosystem. 5. Fees. As a publicly traded company, Coinbase’s revenue is significantly driven by transaction fees, which accounted for approximately 49% of its total revenue in 2023. By promptly listing popular coins, especially those from Base projects, Coinbase can capture increased trading volumes, thereby enhancing revenue and delivering greater value to shareholders. Now’s the time to incentivize Base projects. The Layer 2 landscape is getting crowded and competition like Inkchain by Krakken will only saturate this space more until we have a greater interoperable solution made.
