Jess Foley - Writer

Friends! I'm now over over here! Not sure yet what I'll be sharing, but I'm still the same 40-something mom who likes writing and works at @kingstonist (which has also joined BS!) Hit me up! – at Kingston, Ontario

Earlier this month I was able to blow off work (sort of) and watch some of the filming that took place in #YGK for the 300th episode of Murdoch Mysteries! Here's what I wrote about it (for Kingstonist, republished on my own site.) jessicafoley.ca/news/behind-…

You guys, I had SO MUCH FUN checking out the filming, and then my job let me write about it!! #Winning #MurdochMysteries

So besides the obvious, my favourite part of this post is that I'm the Chief 'Murdoch Mysteries' Correspondent! 💕 – at Kingston, Ontario

I got to chat with a person from Shaftsbury about Murdoch Mysteries filming in #YGK for the fourth time! They'll be downtown next week, and I'm hoping to catch some of the action - as a news photographer, of course. 📷 @CBCMurdoch

Have you ever wondered what it's like behind the scenes of a large TV or film production? Here, I share some of my experience as a background actor working in and around Kingston. #YGK #BackgroundActor jessicafoley.ca/personal-pos…

How, exactly, did I manage this?? This the second time (of 240 games) I guessed it on the first try. #LuckyGuess Wordle 1,185 1/6 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 – at Kingston, Ontario

I had an email from LiveJournal this morning, telling me I've been active there for 23 years. That's a bit of a stretch to say, but I thought "why not?" and created a new entry about @WideMouthMason at Howe Island Rockin' the Rock. Take a look: wmmgirl.livejournal.com/2376… – at Kingston, Ontario

I just put a bunch of used lengths and elbows of downspout on my lawn for Giveaway Day. #WasteNotYGK – at Kingston, Ontario

Anyone out there doing the @KFPL Beanstack summer challenges? I'd like some friends to help motivate me to make more time to read! Add me to your friends: YX6KQM7 (This is the photo I put on my profile, so you'll know it's me!) – at Kingston, Ontario

Good to see the shows at AJ's (dating myself) are still on Wednesdays. I used to plan my course loads at Queen's so I didn't have to get up as early on Thursdays. It only sometimes worked. If the shows really start at 8pm now, I might reconsider my "I don't go to bar shows" rule.

I'm asking those who love the outdoors to post a picture YOU took. Just a pic. No description. The goal is to regain peace and harmony without negativity. Please copy the text, put a picture on YOUR page, and let's look at these beautiful pictures. 💙💙💙 – at Kingston, Ontario

I am looking for #YGK area businesses that are working toward sustainability or who offer products that will benefit the Earth to be included in an Earth Day article on Kingstonist. Spots start at $75. Interested? Email [email protected]

Read the comments. Please. (This makes my 90s soul so happy!)

Spent a little time in downtown #ygk tonight. The lights sure are pretty. Dinner was alright too. 😉 @AquaTerraYGK @downtownktown #Horizon – at Kingston, Ontario
